Eternal Creative Act
The VIP doctrine that Christ’s earthly works (prayers, sufferings, works, blood shed) remain in continuous operative act eternally — not archived but perpetually active like the Sun continuously giving light — because Christ contains Creative Power essentially and speaks creation into being (“I speak and I create”); the past works are perpetually present because He is perpetually present (Hebrews 7:25: always living to make intercession; Hebrews 10:14: single offering perfecting for all time; Revelation 5:6: the Lamb standing as though slain; Hebrews 1:3: sustaining all things by the word of his power; Genesis 1:3: “Let there be light” and it was; Isaiah 55:8-11: the divine word shall not return empty); and that the soul’s works done in His Will and together with Him “participate in my same Creative Power,” acquiring His qualities, life, and value, becoming eternally operative rather than temporally bounded (John 14:12; 2 Peter 1:4: partakers of the divine nature; 1 Corinthians 3:9: fellow workers with God).
