Creation-Veil Theology
The doctrine that each created thing is a merciful divine veil — not concealment arising from divine absence but a medium of approach through which God, who cannot be encountered unveiled by mortal flesh without annihilation, comes near to dwell with the creature in each star, bird, flower, wave, and human heart, shielding the creature from the fullness of his Light, Power, Beauty, and Immensity not from lack of love but from superabundance of it: “He veils Himself in the created things, so as to come and be with us in each created thing — even more, to make us swim in His very Life” — the Incarnation being the definitive instance of this veil-logic: the Word veiled in flesh to dwell among those who could not endure the unveiled fullness.
