Original Prayer Doctrine
The doctrine that petition-prayer arose only after the fall when need arose: Adam’s pre-lapsarian prayer had no room for petition because “since there was nothing he needed, he had nothing to ask for or to impetrate” and consisted entirely of love, praise, and adoration; the DW soul’s return to the DW restores this original prayer-form in which the operating Will dominates all of the soul’s being, making every faculty’s movement a prayer without verbal form or need, thus fulfilling “pray without ceasing” at the ontological rather than the volitional level.
