Supreme Unity of Wills
The doctrine that when the soul reaches complete consumption of her own will in the Divine Will, a will-indiscernibility is achieved (no longer possible to distinguish which will is operating — the Trinitarian pattern of John 17:21-23: “that they may be one as we are one”), so that the Divine Will becomes the soul’s life itself (Galatians 2:20: “no longer I but Christ”; 1 Corinthians 6:17: “one spirit with the Lord”), producing: contentment with all things as her own (Philippians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 3:21-23: “all things are yours”), reciprocal willing with God (John 15:7: “ask whatever you wish and it will be done”), and the highest power in heaven and earth — capable of debilitating and disarming God (Hosea 11:8: divine heart recoiling; Song of Songs 4:9: “you have captivated my heart”).
