Divine Will as Master/Stranger Doctrine
The doctrine that the soul’s relation to the Divine Will is binary and mutually exclusive: when the soul gives not even one act of life to her own will, the DW acts as master in its own home — reigning, commanding, and ruling as if in the Celestial Fatherland, giving of its own, and receiving the greatest glory the creature can offer — but when the soul asserts herself as master, the DW is reduced to the condition of a poor stranger, neglected or possibly despised, unable to give of its own, and constrained to wait in its own house for the invitation it deserves as Lord.
