Mirror-Reflection Doctrine
The doctrine that the DW soul is constituted as a cosmological mirror through which God sees Creation as He made it and through which Creation sees God, in an economy of continuous mutual reflections — “I want my reflector on earth, so that in looking at it, I may see in you, as though in a mirror, the Creation which I created in Heaven and which my Humanity enclosed within Itself; and in reflecting Myself in this mirror, I may recognize Creation in you. We will be in continuous mutual reflections” — the function being not passive display but active bidirectional transformation: the soul reflecting the Lord is simultaneously transformed into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18: with unveiled face beholding the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit), and the reflector-mission restores the original image-purpose for which man was created (Genesis 1:26-27: made in the divine image so that God might see Himself reflected in the creature), realizing within history the eschatological state Paul names as the end (1 Corinthians 13:12: now seeing as in a mirror dimly, but then face to face — the DW reflector making the promised mutual recognition present now); with the archetypal perfect reflector being the Son (Hebrews 1:3: the radiance of the Father’s glory and exact imprint of his substance — the creaturely reflector participating in what the Son is perfectly), and the Sapiential ground being Wisdom 7:26 (Wisdom herself is a spotless mirror of the working of God and image of his goodness).
