Crown-and-Guard Doctrine
The doctrine that Jesus’ thoughts, gazes, words, works, steps, heartbeats, and pains form a living crown around the corresponding faculties and acts of each human creature: “My thoughts form a crown to each created intelligence… I could say that, like a crown, I guard all that the creature does” — so that when the DW soul acts in the DW, the crown opens to receive her act and performs the office of Christ’s own corresponding act alongside it, sealing the creaturely act with divine value, operating at cosmic scale as a jealous sentinel that permits nothing without the DW and allows the DW to do nothing without the soul.
