Eagle Theology
The VIP doctrine, drawn from the eagle-image of Deuteronomy 32:10-12, that God’s formation of the chosen soul follows the eagle’s method of carrying its young on its wings to train them in flight: the soul is trained to see God with the pure heart (Matthew 5:8) and to love with the total love of the Shema-and-Neighbor command (Matthew 22:37-40).
