Eternal Grace-Seal
The doctrine that every operation God performs in a chosen soul is sealed with the seal of the Eternal One and therefore permanently present and operative — no created or cosmic power can remove what God has placed in the soul (Romans 8:35-39: nothing separates from the love of God in Christ; Philippians 1:6: the good work begun will be completed until the day of Christ), because the operations continue in ongoing life and continuous nourishment without expiring (Isaiah 55:11: the divine word shall not return empty but accomplish its purpose; Malachi 3:6: I the LORD do not change; Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever), so that new divine works are added to stored previous ones without displacing them (2 Corinthians 4:10-11: always carrying the death of Jesus in the body; Colossians 1:24: sufferings continuing to fill up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions), even when the soul experiences them as “over.” (E)
