Exterior-Interior Garment Doctrine
The VIP doctrine that the soul wears two distinct garments: the exterior garment of the world’s attachments (filthy rags stripped off as in Zechariah 3:3-4; the old self put away per Ephesians 4:22-24) and the interior garment of divine life put on — the new self created after the likeness of God — which is incompatible with love-of-the-world (1 John 2:15-17).
