Earthly-Celestial Harmony
The doctrine that souls who practice the virtues of Christ’s Heart form interior springs from which rivulets flow, crossing and merging with the innumerable rivulets formed by each virtue Christ practiced (John 7:37-39: rivers of living water flowing from within; Ezekiel 47:1-12: the river from the sanctuary growing deeper and wider), rising together to glorify the Father in the name of all and descending together for the benefit of all creatures (John 17:1-4: the Son glorifying the Father through accomplished work; Isaiah 55:10-11: the word going forth and returning with fruit; Hebrews 7:25: Christ always living to intercede) — forming such harmony between heaven and earth that the angels are astonished, corresponding to the eschatological summation of all things in Christ, heavenly and earthly (Ephesians 1:10), with the creature’s rivulets merging with Christ’s being the operational form of partaking the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), fulfilling John 14:12 (the disciple doing the same works as Christ), and providing the earthly correlate of the heavenly worship in which prayers and intercession rise before the Lamb (Revelation 5:8-10; 1 Peter 1:12: what angels desire to look into).
