Bidirectional Purgatorial Souls
The doctrine that a victim soul can absorb another person’s purgatorial purification by offering the Passion in its finest temporal granularity (minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour) as a purifying sea around the other soul (Hebrews 9:14; 1 John 1:7; Ezekiel 36:25) and by taking upon herself the purgatorial fire at the other’s death — completing through co-substitutionary suffering the purification-debt so the freed soul goes directly to Paradise (Colossians 1:24; Isaiah 53:4; 2 Corinthians 5:21); grounded in importunate intercession (Luke 18:1-8) and the divine consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29; 1 Corinthians 3:13-15).
