Specialty of Divine Love Doctrine
The VIP doctrine (#46) that true and solid sanctity consists not in vigilant sin-avoidance but in receiving everything that happens — the enjoyable, the disgusting, the indifferent, the humiliating, the exalting, even breathing and sight — as a specific act (specialty) of divine love, and in returning to God the wave of love he has sent; the bidirectional exchange itself becomes the sanctifying bath that purifies and advances the soul without her realizing it, and sin and the thought of sin cease to be the soul’s operative reference-frame (Romans 8:28; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Ezekiel 36:25-27; 1 John 4:19; James 1:17; Colossians 3:17).
