Third Life of Love
The doctrine that beyond his divine and human life, Christ received from love a “third life” that made all creaturely lives germinate within his Humanity (John 1:3-4; Colossians 1:15-17: firstborn of all creation in whom all things hold together); the soul united to Christ in total presence (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) participates in this universal-life scope, rendering on behalf of all creatures the reparation and praise they owe, while the love-life is paradoxically simultaneous life and death (2 Corinthians 4:10-11; Hebrews 5:7-9; Romans 5:18-19; Colossians 1:24).
