Immutability-And-Firmness Doctrine
The doctrine that the DW soul forms two participatory arms by which she holds God in an inseparable clasp: immutability (the first arm, derived from the DW’s own immutable nature that admits no change and holds what it possesses permanently) and firmness in operating continuously (the second arm, the soul’s uninterrupted sequential DW-acts that sustain the clasp without interval) — so that “with these two arms she keeps God clasped, in such a way that He cannot free Himself from the creature”; distinct from RLT-1 (rights-acquisition through DW acts) in that IAF-1 concerns the structural qualities by which the DW soul holds the inseparable claim on God rather than the rights that accrue from that claim.
