Practice-Life-of-the-Good Doctrine
The doctrine that knowing a good and practicing it “has the virtue of forming the substance of the life of the good that he knows” in the creature — the practice incarnating the known good as a living reality; by contrast, knowledge without practice leaves the creature “like a painted picture that, having no life, does not have the virtue of forming its life in one who looks at it” — the DW Truths requiring the corresponding practice of DW-life to generate their life in the soul; formally named in the entry title as “How the practice of good forms the life of the good in the creature.” (E)
