Divine Will Seal Doctrine
The doctrine that the union of the divine Will and the creature’s will becoming one constitutes a seal that accomplishes two inseparable effects: completing the specific mission to which the soul has been called (“the seal of my Will and of yours, becoming one, may give completion to the mission to which I have called you”) and permanently marking the soul with the protective signature of the Divine Will for the era of eschatological chastisements — disclosed as the dividing criterion between two camps: those sealed with the divine Will (Revelation 7:2-4: the angel from the rising sun bearing the seal of the living God, commanding the four winds to be held until the servants are sealed; Revelation 9:4: the locusts commanded not to harm those sealed by God) vs. those bearing the Antichrist’s mark (Revelation 13:16-17: the mark without which none may buy or sell — the counter-seal that constitutes the adversarial polarity); with the OT type in Ezekiel 9:4 (the mark placed on those who grieved over Jerusalem’s abominations before the divine judgment swept through) and the Pauline doctrinal ground in 2 Corinthians 1:22 (God placing his seal in the heart as guarantee) and Ephesians 1:13 (sealed with the promised Holy Spirit as eschatological down-payment); the mission-completion register grounded in Philippians 1:6 (he who began a good work will complete it until the day of Christ — the two wheels “worked in you so much” now brought to completion through the sealing) and John 17:4 (I have accomplished the work you gave me to do — the completion-declaration that the seal makes creaturely); the love-register grounded in Song of Songs 8:6 (set me as a seal on your heart — the seal as mutual union-marking of love strong as death, not ownership alone).
