Finger of Divine Governance
The doctrine that every motion in creation — leaves, water, light, all of nature — comes from the fingers of God (Psalm 8:3: the heavens are the work of God’s fingers; Acts 17:28: in him we live, move, and have our being), so that divine governance extends with granular precision to every natural event, establishing by a fortiori argument (Matthew 10:29-31: not a sparrow falls apart from the Father) that the soul’s interior state is equally within divine finger-governance — the same fingers that cast out demons (Luke 11:20), wrote the covenant law (Exodus 31:18), and were recognized by Pharaoh’s court as the source of inexplicable power (Exodus 8:19).
