Nourishment Becomes Infection
The judicial principle that the creature’s chosen nourishment (sin’s satisfactions) is permitted by divine justice to become the instrument of its own corruption: “I will permit that what serves as their nourishment will serve them as infection” — fulfilling the Sapiential principle that the creature is punished by the very instruments of its own transgression.
