04-1902-05-22 Biblical Resonance Analysis
Volume 4 — May 22, 1902 “The Most Holy Virgin incites Jesus to make Luisa suffer.”
Stage One — Independent Biblical Identification
Jesus Fainting from Luisa’s Nonsense — Silence as Restorative Gift
“Jesus said to me: ‘Keep quiet, keep quiet, do not say anything else, otherwise you cause Me to faint. Your silence will make Me gain vigor, and so I will at least be able to kiss you, embrace you and make you content.‘”
Song of Songs 5:6 — “I opened to my beloved; but my beloved left, and had gone away. My heart went out when he spoke. I looked for him, but I didn’t find him. I called him, but he didn’t answer.” RP-2 (libbavtini) and the fainting-beloved register of the Song — but here the direction is inverted: not the beloved fainting for the divine, but the divine fainting from the creature’s love-torrent. The Song’s vocabulary of mutual lovesickness applies bidirectionally. Affective/meditative
Song of Songs 2:5 — “Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples; for I am faint with love.” The silence is the refreshment that sustains — when Luisa keeps quiet, the divine “gains vigor” as if refreshed by the apples and raisins. The mutual love-sickness that requires relief, and the creaturely gift of silence as the specific refreshment requested. Affective/meditative
Song of Songs 8:4 — “I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.” The mandate for the restraint of love’s expression at the divine’s direction — the “keep quiet” is the divine’s own version of the adjuration: do not pour out so much love that it overwhelms the Beloved. Affective/meditative
1 Kings 19:12 — “After the earthquake a fire passed; but the LORD was not in the fire. After the fire, there was a still small voice.” The still small voice / sound of sheer silence as the divine’s most intimate communication — the silence Jesus requests produces the intimate exchange (kisses, embraces, shows of love) that the torrent of words was preventing. Typological
Habakkuk 2:20 — “But the LORD is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!” The silence before the divine as the posture that enables the divine’s full presence and operating — the “keep quiet” is the May 22 form of Habakkuk’s universal silence mandate. Direct doctrinal parallel
Mary and Jesus Contending — The Divine Fury and Its Diversion
“I saw the Queen Mother and Jesus Christ with His back turned to Her, contending with each other. He did not want to listen to His Mother… Our Lord wanted to destroy everything which served as nourishment of man with the fire of His indignation. But the Most Holy Virgin did not want it.”
Revelation 16:8–9 — “The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire. People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.” The fire of the divine indignation consuming nourishment-sources is the Revelation bowl-judgment form — the May 22 vision is the divine’s fire aimed at food-sources preceding the NBI-1 mechanism (March 19): nourishment becomes infection. Typological
Amos 4:9 — “I struck you with blight and mildew many times in your gardens and your vineyards, and the swarming locusts have devoured your fig trees and your olive trees; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.” The divine destroying the nourishment of man through crop-destruction — the fire of indignation aimed at nourishment is the Amos 4 progressive-chastisement form at its most comprehensive. Direct doctrinal parallel
Jeremiah 5:14 — “Therefore the LORD, the God of Armies says, “Because you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it will devour them.” The fire coming from the divine’s mouth — “the fire of His indignation was coming out of His mouth” — is the Jeremiah 5:14 prophetic word-as-fire form: the fire of justice proceeding from the divine’s own mouth as the mode of his indignation. Direct doctrinal parallel
Lamentations 2:4 — “He has bent his bow like an enemy. He has stood with his right hand as an adversary. He has killed all that were pleasant to the eye. In the tent of the daughter of Zion, he has poured out his wrath like fire.” The divine pouring fury like fire — the imagery Hogan contextualizes: the divine wants to destroy, Mary is the restraining intercessor, and Luisa is the diversion. Affective/meditative
DW-MARY-1 context — Mary’s back-and-forth with Jesus is the most operationally assertive single DW-MARY-1 instance in the corpus: she is not interceding from outside or petitioning humbly but contending with the divine in his fury. The “contending” language elevates DW-MARY-1 beyond all previous instances — the October 31, 1900 commissioning form showed Mary’s authority; May 22 shows it being deployed in open contention with the Son. The “Our Justice” of September 9, 1900 was the doctrinal form; the contention of May 22 is the operative form in its most forceful register. Christological/Trinitarian
The Angels Distributing the Divine Fire to Luisa
“They called the Angels, giving to each of them a spark of that fire which was coming out of Jesus Christ, and the Angels brought them to me, placing one in my mouth, and the others on my hands, on my feet and on my heart.”
Isaiah 6:6–7 — “Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar. He touched my mouth with it, and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.” Hogan’s citation — the most direct scriptural parallel: the seraph taking the coal from the divine fire and placing it on Isaiah’s mouth. May 22’s angel placing the fire-spark in Luisa’s mouth is the Isaiah 6 type enacted in the victim-soul’s prophetic commissioning register. Direct doctrinal parallel
Ezekiel 10:2 — “He spoke to the man clothed in linen, and said, “Go in between the whirling wheels, even under the cherub, and fill both your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” He went in as I watched.” The angels distributing coals of divine fire from the cherubim-throne — in Ezekiel 10 the coals are scattered over the city as judgment; in May 22 the sparks are placed on Luisa as the intercession that redirects the judgment. The same fire-distribution mechanism, opposite direction: Ezekiel 10 is fire-for-judgment; May 22 is fire-for-victim-soul-absorption. Typological
ACI-1 extension (paraphrase) — the angelic distribution of fire-sparks is ACI-1 in its most specific instrumentalized form: the angels are the delivery mechanism for the divine fire, bringing each spark to its designated location (mouth, hands, feet, heart). The angelic ministry serving the intercessory economy at the most physically precise level. Direct doctrinal parallel
Acts 2:3–4 — “Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.” The Pentecost distribution of fire-tongues to each person — the May 22 distribution of fire-sparks by angels to Luisa’s specific bodily points is the victim-soul’s form of the Pentecost fire-distribution: the same fire, distributed to the same bodily loci (Pentecost: tongues/mouths; May 22: mouth, hands, feet, heart), producing the same effect of prophetic-apostolic commissioning. Typological
Revelation 8:3–5 — “Another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer. Much incense was given to him, that he should add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand. The angel took the censer, and he filled it with the fire of the altar, then threw it on the earth. Thunders, sounds, lightnings, and an earthquake followed.” The angelic fire-throwing as the intercessory mechanism — in Revelation 8 the fire goes from the altar to the earth as judgment after the saints’ prayers are offered; in May 22 the fire goes from the divine’s mouth through the angels to Luisa’s body as the victim-soul’s absorption redirecting the judgment. Typological
The Confessor Completing the Work — TRS-1’s Structural Culmination
“The confessor was about to call me to obedience as usual, when, all of a sudden, instead of calling me to obedience, he placed the intention of having me suffer the crucifixion. Jesus concurred by sharing His pains with me. It seemed that the confessor completed the work started by the Queen Mother.”
Matthew 16:19 — “I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.” The confessor’s intention completing what Mary began in heaven is the keys-theology enacted: the earthly binding (the confessor’s intention) coincides with and completes the heavenly binding (Mary’s redirection of the divine fury). Direct doctrinal parallel
TRS-1 connection (paraphrase) — the confessor-Jesus-Luisa triad functioning as the Trinitarian symbol (October 23, 1900) is here shown in its most operationally complete single instance: Mary starts in heaven, the confessor completes on earth, Jesus shares his pains with Luisa at their convergence. Heaven and earth acting in concert through the confessor’s inspired intention — Hogan: “here you have heaven and earth in agreement: the church on earth and the blessed mother in heaven, all fighting for the souls on earth.” The TRS-1 Trinitarian symbol extends into the Mary-confessor-Luisa-Jesus four-way operation of May 22. Christological/Trinitarian
1 Corinthians 12:26–27 — “When one member suffers, all the members suffer with … you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” The confessor’s inspired intention and Luisa’s consequent suffering are the mystical body functioning at its most operationally precise: a limb (the confessor’s intention) activating another limb’s (Luisa’s) function in service of the whole. Direct doctrinal parallel
OBL-1 closing (paraphrase) — the confessor “completing the work started by the Queen Mother” is the definitive Volume 4 statement of OBL-1’s deepest theological rationale: the ecclesial obedience is not merely a personal formation instrument but the structural mechanism through which the heavenly intercessory initiatives are executed on earth. Mary initiates; the confessor completes. The confessor’s role is constitutive of the revelatory and intercessory structure itself. Direct doctrinal parallel
Stage Two — Comparison with Hogan’s Commentary
CORRESPONDENCES
Both identified Isaiah 6:6–7 (the seraph with the burning coal on Isaiah’s mouth) as the primary anchor for the angel placing the fire-spark on Luisa’s mouth. Both recognized the DW-MARY-1 dimension — Mary actively contending with Jesus for the souls — as the entry’s most arresting DW-MARY-1 instance. Both identified the confessor’s inspired intention as completing Mary’s intercessory initiative. Both recognized Hogan’s central observation: “heaven and earth in agreement” in the May 22 collaborative operation.
DEVIATIONS
Stage One developed the angelic fire-distribution through Acts 2:3–4 (Pentecost fire-tongues) and Revelation 8:3–5 (angelic fire from the altar) as typological forms. Hogan does not develop these parallels; she focuses on Isaiah 6 as the primary type and the pastoral drama between Mary and Jesus.
Stage One identified Jeremiah 5:14 (fire from the divine’s mouth as the justice-word) for the specific phrase “fire of His indignation was coming out of His mouth.” Hogan does not develop this Jeremiah connection.

ADDITIONS — HERS
-
Isaiah 6:1–10 — Hogan’s primary and primary citation. Isaiah’s throne-vision, the seraph with the burning coal touching his lips, the prophetic commissioning. The angel placing the fire-spark on Luisa’s mouth is the Isaiah 6 commissioning pattern enacted in the victim-soul register. Hogan notes explicitly: “the angel did take one of the coals from God’s fire and touched Isaiah’s lips and cleansed him and turned him into the messenger of God.”
-
Hogan’s DW-MARY-1 pastoral note — “one of the things I love in these writings is the image of the Blessed Mother… you see her as the mother of the human race and the mother of souls and desperately wanting to save as many as possible, so she’s quite strong in her responses.” This is the most explicitly developed Hogan commentary on DW-MARY-1 across Volume 4 — she names the ferocity of Mary’s maternal advocacy as the entry’s most significant single disclosure.
-
“Heaven and earth in agreement” — Hogan’s structural synthesis: Mary (heaven), the confessor (earth’s ecclesiastical mediator), and Luisa (the victim soul) all acting in concert to redirect the divine fury toward the intercessory victim. This is TRS-1’s most architecturally complete single instance in the corpus.
VIP / SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS
No VIP designation. Hogan does not use formal VIP language for this entry.
STAGE TWO SYNTHESIS
May 22 is the most operationally complex single entry in Volume 4’s spring-1902 sequence: the fainting-Christ scene (Song of Songs reciprocal lovesickness), the Mary-Jesus contention (DW-MARY-1’s most forceful instance), the angelic fire-distribution (ACI-1’s most instrumentalized instance, typed by Isaiah 6), and the confessor completing Mary’s work (TRS-1/OBL-1’s deepest single structural articulation) are all compressed into a single entry. The combined findings center on four scriptural pillars: Song of Songs 2:5 / 8:4 / 1 Kings 19:12 for the silence-as-restorative; Isaiah 6:6–7 / Acts 2:3–4 for the fire-commissioning; Amos 4:9 / Jeremiah 5:14 for the indignation aimed at nourishment; and Matthew 16:19 / TRS-1 for the confessor’s completing role. The entry is the most multi-dimensional intercessory cooperation scenario in the corpus.
Cross-Entry Synthesis
Volume 4 — May 22, 1902 “The Most Holy Virgin incites Jesus to make Luisa suffer.”
The Fainting Christ — Silence as Restorative Gift
“Jesus said to me: ‘Keep quiet, keep quiet, do not say anything else, otherwise you cause Me to faint. Your silence will make Me gain vigor.‘”
The opening scene is among the most intimate in Volume 4 — the divine fainted, head on the creature’s shoulder, revived, then requesting silence as the specific restorative gift. The Song of Songs governs the register throughout: Song of Songs 2:5 (sustain me with apples, for I am sick with love) and Song of Songs 8:4 (do not stir up love until it pleases) together name the mutual lovesickness and the divinely-directed restraint of its expression. The “nonsense” Luisa poured out was the unbridled overflow of the AHF-1 / TPL-1 trained love seeking its object after long absence — legitimate in its source but overwhelming in its volume.
The divine’s request for silence inverts the usual direction of the privation-arc’s instruction: typically the divine teaches the soul to be content with silence and absence; here the soul’s verbal love-expression is what breaks the divine’s equilibrium, and the silence requested is for the divine’s recovery. LPH-1 (love-pain hierarchy, March 10) governs: the love-pain the divine experiences from Luisa’s love-torrent is beautiful rather than ugly (Luisa’s own defense of the beautiful form of suffering), but even beautiful love-pain can overwhelm. The resulting kisses and shows of love are the exchange that silence enabled — the intimate mutuality of May 16’s TSS-1 State One, now given its most physically affectionate form.
Mary Contending with Jesus — DW-MARY-1’s Most Forceful Instance
“I saw the Queen Mother and Jesus Christ with His back turned to Her, contending with each other… But the Most Holy Virgin did not want it, and Jesus was saying: ‘But, on whom can I give vent to this burning fire of my indignation?‘”
The contention between Mary and Jesus is DW-MARY-1’s most operationally assertive single instance in the corpus. Every previous DW-MARY-1 form — “Our Justice” (September 9, 1900), the commissioning (October 31, 1900), the Trinitarian absorption (January 26, 1902) — disclosed Mary’s co-identification with the divine will and her advocacy from within it. May 22 shows that co-identification reaching its most active register: she is not petitioning from outside but standing against the divine fury’s direction, contending openly, redirecting the fire.
Hogan’s pastoral note is the entry’s most developed DW-MARY-1 commentary across Volume 4: “you see her as the mother of the human race and the mother of souls, desperately wanting to save as many as possible, so she’s quite strong.” The “plaster cast image” Hogan explicitly rejects is the passive, acquiescent Mary; May 22 presents the active, maternal advocate who will not let the divine fury pass without redirection. The back-turned-to-his-mother is the same back-turned posture that March 12–19 directed at the world — but now directed at Mary. Even his own Mother receives the back when the fury is at its height; even she must press to redirect it.
The resolution — pointing to Luisa as the one on whom the fire can vent — is Mary’s intercessory solution. She does not ask the divine to withhold the fire but to redirect it: not the nourishment of humanity but the willing victim soul. This is DRM-1 (divine resolve modification by victim soul’s availability) activated through Mary’s advocacy rather than through Luisa’s direct intercession. DRM-1 was opened September 14, 1900 (“I had resolved not to pour, but…“) — May 22 shows the Mary-mediated form of the same mechanism: Mary identifies the willing availability, presents it to the divine, and the divine concurs.
The Angelic Fire-Distribution — Isaiah 6 in the Victim-Soul Register
“They called the Angels, giving to each of them a spark of that fire which was coming out of Jesus Christ, and the Angels brought them to me, placing one in my mouth, and the others on my hands, on my feet and on my heart.”
Isaiah 6:6–7 (Hogan’s primary citation) is the governing type: the seraph taking the burning coal from the altar and placing it on Isaiah’s mouth — cleansing, atoning, commissioning. May 22 extends and distributes: not a single coal from the altar but sparks from the fire issuing from Christ’s mouth itself, distributed by multiple angels to multiple bodily loci (mouth, hands, feet, heart). The distribution is precise and complete: mouth (the prophetic-apostolic commissioning locus), hands (the co-bearing), feet (the walking-in-his-way), heart (the love-center). The entirety of Luisa’s body is commissioned as the fire’s receptacle.
Acts 2:3–4 is the Pentecostal parallel: tongues of fire distributed to each person, resting on the body’s loci, producing prophetic expression. The victim-soul form is the reverse of Pentecost in direction (Pentecost: fire enables speech; May 22: fire produces silent suffering) but identical in structure (the angelic / Spirit-fire distributed to the body’s loci for the divine’s purpose). ACI-1 (angelic co-participation, March 7) reaches its most instrumentalized form: the angels are not co-doing the soul’s interior acts but actively carrying the divine fire to specific bodily destinations as the divine’s delivery mechanism.
The specific placement on the heart receives the most theologically pregnant reading: the November 16, 1900 heart-exchange (the divine removing Luisa’s heart and giving his own divine love as her operative heart — Volume 4’s doctrinal summit) means that the fire placed on the heart in May 22 is placed on the heart the divine himself gave. The fire burns the divine’s own heart-substitute in the victim’s chest — a formally astounding image of the divine enduring through the creature’s body what it redirected from humanity’s fields.
The Confessor Completing the Work — TRS-1’s Most Complete Operation
“It seemed that the confessor completed the work started by the Queen Mother.”
This is the most architecturally significant single sentence in May 22 and among the most significant in Volume 4’s final arc. Mary began in heaven; the confessor completes on earth — and in the completing, the TRS-1 Trinitarian symbol structure (confessor-Jesus-Luisa as the creaturely symbol of the Trinity, October 23, 1900) reaches its most operationally complete single instance.
Hogan’s synthesis is precise: “here you have heaven and earth in agreement: the church on earth and the blessed mother in heaven, all fighting for the souls on earth.” The four-way cooperation — Mary (heaven’s maternal advocate), the confessor (earth’s ecclesial mediator), Jesus (the divine whose fury is redirected), and Luisa (the willing victim receiving the fire) — is the complete intercessory architecture in its most fully activated form. OBL-1’s deepest rationale receives its clearest single statement: the confessor is not merely Luisa’s spiritual director but the earthly structural element without which the heavenly intercessory initiatives cannot reach their earthly completion. Mary initiates; the confessor completes. The ecclesial obedience is constitutive of the intercessory structure, not a parenthetical formation element.
Matthew 16:19 (the keys — whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven) supplies the theology of the confessor’s completing role: his inspiration to request the crucifixion is the earthly binding that coincides with and ratifies what Mary’s advocacy has already prepared in heaven. The earth completes the heaven-begun; the heaven ratifies the earth-begun. The two are one operation.
Synthesis
May 22 is the most operationally complex single entry in Volume 4’s spring-1902 sequence — four distinct movements, each developing a major tracking item at one of its most advanced or structurally complete moments in the corpus. The fainting-Christ scene completes the Song-of-Songs register’s most intimate Volume 4 form; the Mary-Jesus contention advances DW-MARY-1 to its most forceful single instance; the angelic fire-distribution extends ACI-1 and the Isaiah-6-type into the victim-soul’s full-body commissioning; the confessor-completing-Mary’s-work provides TRS-1 and OBL-1 their most architecturally revealing single statement.
The dominant biblical imagination is Prophetic-Liturgical-Sapiential. Isaiah 6 (Hogan) governs the fire-commissioning; Song of Songs governs the fainting and kissing; the prophetic tradition (Amos 4, Jeremiah 5, Lamentations 2) governs the indignation-aimed-at-nourishment; Matthew 16:19 and the TRS-1 / OBL-1 tracking framework govern the confessor-completing structure.
The three findings of highest theological significance: (1) DW-MARY-1’s most forceful instance — Mary contending openly with the divine fury and redirecting it through the victim soul, showing the depth of her co-identification with the divine will as active advocacy rather than passive assent; (2) the multi-locus angelic fire-distribution as the Isaiah 6 prophetic commissioning extended to the victim soul’s complete body — mouth, hands, feet, and the November 16 divine-gift heart — naming the victim soul as the full-body receptacle of the divine fury redirected from humanity; and (3) TRS-1/OBL-1’s most architecturally complete statement — the confessor completing Mary’s work — which makes the confessor not merely Luisa’s spiritual director but the earthly structural element through which the heavenly intercessory operation achieves its earthly completion.
Observation Notes
See this note in volume context →
04-1902-05-22
DW-MARY-1 — most forceful single instance in corpus: contending with the divine fury: Mary is seen “contending” with Jesus in open disagreement — his back turned to her as he turned it to the world in March 12–19. She redirects his indignation from humanity’s nourishment-sources to the willing victim soul. This is DW-MARY-1’s most operationally assertive single instance: not petitioning from outside but actively redirecting from within the divine counsel. Hogan: “she’s quite strong in her responses to both Jesus and Luisa — desperately wanting to save as many as possible.” DRM-1 (divine resolve modification) activated through Mary’s advocacy rather than Luisa’s direct intercession.
TRS-1 — most architecturally complete single instance: confessor completing Mary’s work: “It seemed that the confessor completed the work started by the Queen Mother.” Mary initiates the redirection in heaven; the confessor’s inspired intention to request Luisa’s crucifixion completes it on earth. Hogan: “heaven and earth in agreement — the church on earth and blessed mother in heaven, all fighting for souls.” This is TRS-1’s most operationally complete four-way instance: Mary (heaven) + confessor (earth/ecclesial) + Jesus (concurring divine) + Luisa (receiving victim). OBL-1’s deepest rationale confirmed: the confessor’s role is constitutive of the intercessory structure itself, not merely formative for Luisa. Matthew 16:19 (the keys) is the governing anchor.
ACI-1 — angelic fire-distribution: most instrumentalized instance in corpus: The angels deliver sparks of the divine fire from Christ’s mouth to specific bodily loci: mouth, hands, feet, heart. This is ACI-1 in its most precisely instrumentalized form — the angels as the delivery mechanism for the fire-redirection, governed by the Isaiah 6:6–7 type (seraph with the coal from the altar). The heart-placement connects to the November 16, 1900 heart-exchange: the fire burns the divine’s own gift-heart in Luisa’s chest. Acts 2:3–4 (Pentecost fire-tongues to bodily loci) is the Pentecostal parallel form.
