Grace-Nature Correspondence
The doctrine that what God is by nature — eternal Truth, love, and eternal beauty — the soul becomes by grace, each divine perfection communicated sequentially through the corresponding condition (truth to the annihilated soul — 2 Corinthians 12:9-10; love through infusion — 1 John 4:7-8; beauty through unveiled beholding — 2 Corinthians 3:18), and grace enters to take possession only when the soul masticates and swallows its truths rather than letting them escape like lightnings; what the Lord is by nature, the Incarnation opened as the path of participation (John 14:6; Jeremiah 31:31-34; 2 Peter 1:4).
