Ecclesial Mediation Authority Doctrine
The doctrine that Christ has established in his Church an irreversible authority of sacramental mediation that he will not violate even for the sake of mystical graces — “do you want Me to destroy the order of my Wisdom and to take away this authority from my Church?” — so that the DW soul operates within and through the Church’s ordained structure rather than seeking to circumvent it; the authority in question being the Church’s ministry of absolution, direction, and sacramental communication, which God established as the ordinary mediation of his grace and will not dismantle even in the case of the most advanced mystical states, because to do so would contradict the order of divine Wisdom that he himself constructed. The scriptural ground is Matthew 16:18–19 (you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church — the foundational grant of ecclesial authority that the DW Doctrine cannot supersede), Hebrews 13:17 (obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls — the ongoing submission to ecclesial authority as the form of creaturely order), and 1 Corinthians 14:33 (God is not a God of disorder but of peace — the divine commitment to order as the ground for the Church’s authority being sustained rather than bypassed).
