30-1932-06-29 Biblical Resonance Analysis

Volume 30 — June 29, 1932 “Prodigies and Secrets that the Living in the Divine Will encloses. Moving scenes. Generations of the Divine Acts in the creature. Divine Custody and Jealousy.”

STAGE ONE — Independent Biblical Identification

I. Mutual Conquest and Nuptial Union of Wills

“its Empire is not slavery—no, but Union, Transformation, in such a way that the creature feels that she Dominates together with It; and by letting herself be Dominated, she acquires the virtue of Dominating the very Supreme Will… the human will makes itself the Conqueror of the Divine… the Divine Will celebrates the Conquest of the human, making of it the use It wants, and the human will celebrates the great Conquest it made of the Divine”

Song of Songs 2:16 — “My beloved is mine, and I am his. He browses among the lilies.” The mutual possession of bride and bridegroom is the scriptural form of the double-conquest structure — each party holds a claim upon the other, neither holds the other in slavery, and the right is perfectly reciprocal. The entry’s non-slave empire that produces co-domination is the mystical reality of which the Song’s mutual belonging is the figuration. Affective/meditative

Song of Songs 6:3 — “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine. He browses among the lilies.” The formula’s slight inversion from 2:16 — “mine and his” becoming “his and mine” — mirrors the entry’s two-sided conquest in which the direction of emphasis oscillates without ever resolving into pure subordination on either side. Affective/meditative

John 17:21 — “that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.” The Trinitarian mutual-indwelling furnishes the governing archetype for the creature-DW mutual conquest — the “in” relation is its own form of inseparable co-domination in which neither party is diminished by the other’s presence. Christological/Trinitarian

Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.” The Union and Transformation produced by the DW’s non-slave Empire corresponds to the Pauline transformation-through-indwelling — the creaturely ego is not annihilated but reconstituted in Christ, so that it dominates precisely by being dominated. Direct doctrinal parallel

1 Corinthians 6:17 — “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” The nuptial fusion of wills producing spiritual oneness is the Pauline ontological grounding for the mutual-conquest dynamic — co-dominion follows from co-habitation of spirit. Direct doctrinal parallel

Romans 8:14-17 — “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.” The creature’s co-domination with God follows from adopted heirship: the Spirit leads (dominates) in order to confer inheritance (co-dominion over all things), so that being led and inheriting are two sides of the same nuptial relation. Direct doctrinal parallel

Revelation 3:20 — “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me.” The reciprocal dining — Christ enters at the creature’s opening, and both eat together — enacts the mutual commerce of conquest: neither party takes without giving, and the entry is an opening to mutual possession. Christological/Trinitarian

2 Corinthians 3:18 — “But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” The Transformation that constitutes the DW’s non-slave Empire is Paul’s dynamic conformity to the divine image — not a single act of imposition but a progressive active participation in the divine life, which is itself the form of the creature’s growing co-domination. Direct doctrinal parallel

II. The Conquering Will and the Delighting Will: New Joys Formed Through the Stake of Pain and Love

“The Conquering Joys are not in the power of the Blessed, but in the power of the creature, who must send Them from the earth, and They are formed in the middle of the stake of pain and of love, and over the annihilation of her own volition… My Conquering Joys do not exist in Heaven, but only on earth… there is great difference between the Joys of My Conquering Will and those of My Delighting Will”

Colossians 1:24 — “Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,” Paul’s striking claim that something is “lacking” in Christ’s afflictions which the creature’s suffering can supply is the most direct doctrinal anchor for the Conquering Joys that the blessed in heaven cannot generate — those joys are formed exclusively through the stake of pain and love borne on earth, and the blessed, whose journey is complete, can no longer provide them. Direct doctrinal parallel

Romans 8:17 — “and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.” Suffering-with as the constitutive condition of co-glorification corresponds to the entry’s structure: the blessed possess the glory but have passed beyond the suffering that produces the specifically Conquering quality of joy, so that the earth-bound creature alone holds what is lacking. Direct doctrinal parallel

Revelation 2:7 — “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.” The sevenfold Revelation letters address “the one who conquers” as the exclusive recipient of specific divine rewards — the same vocabulary of conquest that governs the entry. The Conquering Joys sent to heaven are the DW-form of what the Revelation promises reserve for the conqueror. Typological

Revelation 21:7 — “He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.” The full eschatological inheritance is reserved for the conqueror — and the creature’s repeated conquest of the Divine Will is the act that accumulates and delivers this heritage to heaven with each new round. Typological

Philippians 3:10-11 — “that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death, if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” The fellowship of sufferings as the constitutive path to resurrection power is the Pauline equivalent of Conquering Joy formation through the stake of pain — not suffering as an accident but as the necessary medium of the highest participation in divine life. Direct doctrinal parallel

2 Corinthians 4:17 — “For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory,” The affliction as productive medium generating a weight of glory that surpasses comparison corresponds to the Conquering Joys that are not merely greater in degree than the Delighting Joys but different in kind — they carry the new quality formed only in the crucible of pain and love. Affective/meditative

John 16:21 — “A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.” The birthing image precisely captures the structure of Conquering Joy formation: the anguish of the stake is the productive medium, and the joy delivered by it exceeds and supersedes the sorrow. Affective/meditative

III. True Divine Commerce Between Heaven and Earth

“My Will, conquered by the soul, does not hold Itself back; Bilocating Itself, It stays and sets out for her Celestial Fatherland… acting as a bank, she would want everyone to take so great a Good… she sends It off to Heaven as a Sacred Right of the Celestial Fatherland… she sets about doing more acts in It, to reacquire It as many times for as many acts as she keeps on doing. It is the True Divine Commerce that God and the creature form between Heaven and earth.”

Genesis 28:12 (CPDV) — “And he saw in his sleep: a ladder standing upon the earth, with its top touching heaven, also, the Angels of God ascending and descending by it” The True Divine Commerce — DW-acts ascending to heaven, divine goods descending to earth — corresponds structurally to Jacob’s ladder as the foundational biblical image of continuous earth-heaven exchange. Typological

John 1:51 — “He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you all, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” Christ identifies himself as the fulfilled Jacob’s Ladder — the commerce between heaven and earth is conducted in and through his person, and the creature’s DW-commerce participates in this Christological axis. Christological/Trinitarian

Hebrews 7:25 — “Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.” The perpetual heavenly intercession of the risen Christ provides the governing archetype for the Conquering Will’s ongoing ascent to heaven — the creature’s DW-acts join an intercession that is already continuously in motion. Direct doctrinal parallel

Revelation 5:8 — “Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” The creature’s DW-acts sent to heaven as “Sacred Rights” correspond to the incense bowls — creaturely acts becoming heavenly treasures held before the throne in perpetual offering. Typological

Revelation 8:3-4 — “Another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer. Much incense was given to him, that he should add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.” The ascending direction of the commerce is confirmed in the heavenly sanctuary imagery: earthly acts rising continuously before God, their ascent mediated through angelic-priestly function. Typological

1 Corinthians 3:21-23 — “all things are yours, … and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.” The creature’s right to send the Conquered DW wherever she wills — to heaven, purgatory, or any creature — is grounded in the total inheritance structure Paul articulates: the heir of Christ holds rights over all things and may deploy them accordingly. Direct doctrinal parallel

Acts 17:28 — “‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’” The DW’s universal presence, which enables it to Bilocate and be “everywhere and in every place” simultaneously, is grounded in the Pauline formula of divine omnipresence as the medium within which creaturely life and all motion occur. Christological/Trinitarian

IV. The Divine Will as Fount and Substance of the Supreme Being

“the human will is the fount and substance of the life of the creature… The same for the Divine Will: wherever It Reigns It makes Itself Fount, Substance and Life of the acts done in It… this Fount diffuses in her acts and places in them the Divine Substance… since It is Fount and Substance of Our Supreme Being, Our Power, Sanctity, Goodness and all Our Attributes form a Crown around Our Will and all Its Acts, to be dependent upon It and give It the Homage and Custody of all Its Acts, whether It does them in Us or in the creature”

John 4:14 — “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” The Fount image that defines the DW corresponds to the Johannine interior spring — not external water applied from without but a source established within the creature that becomes its own perpetual spring. Christological/Trinitarian

John 7:37-38 — “Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink! He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.” The DW as Fount/Substance that diffuses through the creature’s acts and produces a variety of acts “distinct among themselves in Sanctity, in Beauty, in Light, in Love” corresponds to the Spirit-as-living-water flowing in rivers from the interior source. Christological/Trinitarian

Romans 11:36 — “For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.” The most formal scriptural statement of God’s triple role as Fount (from), Sustaining Medium (through), and Telos (to) of all existence. The DW as “Fount and Substance of Our Supreme Being” is the Will-specific expression of this formula: the Will is the “from” and “through” at the level of the divine being itself, not merely at the level of creation. Christological/Trinitarian

Colossians 1:17 — “He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.” The holding-together function is the Fount’s cosmic sustaining work. The DW as Fount and Substance of the Supreme Being corresponds to Christ as the one in whom all coherence — in the creature and in creation — is grounded and sustained. Christological/Trinitarian

Psalm 36:9 — “For with you is the spring of life. In your light we will see light.” The Fount of Life located in God and the light-in-light formula jointly correspond to the DW as Fount of divine life diffusing through the creature’s acts — to see divine light, one must stand within the Fount that is Light. Affective/meditative

Wisdom 7:25 — “For she is a breath of the power of God, and a pure emanation of the glory of the Almighty. Therefore nothing defiled can find entrance into her.” Wisdom as a pure emanation proceeding from God’s own being is the deuterocanonical parallel to the DW as Fount and Substance of the Supreme Being — both describe the divine principle that proceeds from God’s essential being and communicates the divine life to the creature. Typological

Exodus 3:14 — “God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” God’s self-definition as pure self-subsistent being corresponds to the DW as Fount and Substance of the Supreme Being: the Will is not one attribute God possesses among others but the ground of divine self-existence, just as the I AM is not a predicate but the name of pure being itself. Christological/Trinitarian

V. Generation of Divine Acts, Divine Custody and Jealousy, and the Crown of Attributes

“all Our Care is for these acts because in them is formed the Generation of Our Divine Acts in the depth of the creature… We feel Ourselves the God Operating, not the God hindered, unable to carry out the Generation of Our Acts because Our Will is not there in the creature… your Jesus remains inside and around the creature in order to keep It in custody; My Jealousy has a gaze fixed on them… Our Power, Sanctity, Goodness and all Our Attributes form a Crown around Our Will and all Its Acts, to be dependent upon It and give It the Homage and Custody of all Its Acts”

Galatians 4:19 — “My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ is formed in you—” The “Generation of Our Divine Acts in the depth of the creature” is the reverse formulation of Paul’s Christ-formation language — both express the same spiritual reality from different vantage points: the creature’s (Christ being formed) and God’s (the DW’s Acts being generated). The generational/birth vocabulary is shared on both sides. Direct doctrinal parallel

John 15:4-5 — “Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” The fruitfulness that follows from mutual abiding corresponds to the Generation of Divine Acts — only where the DW abides in the creature and the creature abides in the DW can the continuous generation of Acts occur. Direct doctrinal parallel

Exodus 34:14 — “for you shall worship no other god; for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” The divine self-designation with “Jealous” as a proper name corresponds to “My Jealousy has a gaze fixed on them” — the entry’s jealousy-language invokes the formal divine attribute: the passionate territorial claim of love rather than competitive insecurity. Direct doctrinal parallel

2 Corinthians 11:2 — “For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy. For I promised you in marriage to one husband, that I might present you as a pure virgin to Christ.” Paul’s nuptial jealousy for the community’s fidelity is the NT form of the divine Jealousy for the creature’s DW-acts — it operates precisely because the relationship is nuptial, and any departure from the DW (doing one’s own will instead) injures the betrothal bond. Direct doctrinal parallel

Psalm 91:4 — “He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.” The Custody image — “Jesus remains inside and around the creature in order to keep It in custody” — corresponds to the enveloping divine protection of Psalm 91: protection from within and without simultaneously. Affective/meditative

Deuteronomy 32:10 — “He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.” The apple-of-the-eye designation is the OT expression for the maximum-care object — the creature who lives in the DW, whose acts are subject to the divine Custody and Jealousy, is held with this intensity of vigilant love. Affective/meditative

Isaiah 49:15-16 — “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.” The impossibility of divine forgetting — the creature permanently inscribed — corresponds to the Custody in which not even one DW-act is allowed to fall: each is watched, held, and engraved. Affective/meditative

Revelation 4:8-11 — “The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!” When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed and were created!” The perpetual thronal acclamation of the divine Attributes as holy, and the rendering of glory-honor-power to God, corresponds to the Crown of Attributes forming around the Divine Will in constant Homage — Power, Sanctity, Goodness rendered back to the Will that is their Fount and Substance. Christological/Trinitarian

Ephesians 1:3-6 — “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love, having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire, to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved.” The divine ordering of all spiritual blessings toward the creature — the entire economy of election concentrated in Christ — corresponds to the Crown of Attributes arranged in dependent Homage to the Will’s Acts, whether done in God or in the creature. Christological/Trinitarian

STAGE TWO — Comparison with Hogan’s Commentary

CORRESPONDENCES

Genesis 28:12 / Jacob’s Ladder: Both Stage One and Hogan identify Jacob’s ladder as the governing image for the True Divine Commerce between heaven and earth. Hogan states explicitly: “This is the true stairway to heaven which Jacob had an inkling of — he saw angels going up and coming down, but it’s actually divine will acts going up and going down, bringing heaven down to the earth and bringing the most wonderful graces from the earth up to heaven.” Stage One identifies the same passage with the same identification. Where Stage One adds John 1:51 (Christ as the fulfilled Jacob’s Ladder), Hogan’s citation rests with the Genesis type. Load-bearing anchor for the commerce movement.

DEVIATIONS

Mark 9:23 / Matthew 19:26 / Luke 1:37 (nothing is impossible with God) vs. 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 (all things are yours as heir of Christ): Hogan cites the three nothing-is-impossible passages for the soul’s power over the DW — sending it wherever she wants — “and nothing is impossible with God.” Stage One uses 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 (the inheritance-of-all-things passage) for the same register. The two citations illuminate different angles: Hogan’s stress falls on divine omnipotence being available to the creature, while Stage One’s stress falls on the juridical inheritance structure that grounds the creature’s right of deployment. Both are independently valid; together they show that the creature’s power over the DW rests on both an ontological (omnipotence) and a legal (inheritance) foundation.

ADDITIONS — MINE

  • Song of Songs 2:16; 6:3 — mutual conquest as nuptial mutual possession; scriptural figuration of the double-conquest structure
  • Colossians 1:24 — completing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions; formal doctrinal anchor for the Conquering Joys the blessed in heaven cannot supply
  • Romans 8:17 — suffering-with as constitutive of co-glorification; the blessed have the glory but have passed beyond the constitutive suffering
  • Revelation 2:7; 21:7 — the conquering-one promises; Revelation’s formal vocabulary of conquest matching the entry’s central term
  • Philippians 3:10-11 — fellowship of sufferings as path to resurrection power; stake of pain as the necessary medium of the highest participation
  • 2 Corinthians 4:17 — affliction preparing an eternal weight of glory; Conquering Joys as qualitatively different from, not merely greater than, the Delighting Joys
  • John 16:21 — birthing anguish producing joy; stake of pain as productive medium
  • John 1:51 — Christ as the fulfilled Jacob’s Ladder; the commerce conducted through his person
  • Hebrews 7:25 — perpetual heavenly intercession as the pattern for the Conquering Will’s ascent
  • Revelation 5:8; 8:3-4 — incense bowls as creature-acts ascending before the throne; the commerce’s heavenly reception
  • John 4:14; 7:37-38 — DW as inward Fount / spring of living water; the interior source becoming its own perpetual spring
  • Romans 11:36 — from-through-to formula; DW as Fount and Substance of the Supreme Being at the level of the divine being itself
  • Colossians 1:17 — in him all things hold together; Fount as cosmic sustaining principle
  • Psalm 36:9 — fountain of life and light-in-light formula; OT ground for DW as Fount of divine life
  • Wisdom 7:25 — Wisdom as pure emanation from God’s being; deuterocanonical parallel to DW as Fount/Substance
  • Exodus 3:14 — I AM WHO I AM; DW as ground of divine self-existence rather than one attribute among others
  • Galatians 4:19 — anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed; Generation of Acts as reverse formulation of Christ-formation
  • Exodus 34:14; 2 Corinthians 11:2 — divine Jealousy as formal attribute and nuptial claim; jealousy for DW-acts grounded in the betrothal bond
  • Psalm 91:4; Deuteronomy 32:10; Isaiah 49:15-16 — Custody and enveloping-care images; apple of the eye and engraved on the palm
  • Revelation 4:8-11 — Crown of Attributes rendering perpetual Homage; thronal acclamation as eschatological form of the Attributes’ dependence on the Will
  • Ephesians 1:3-6 — all spiritual blessings ordered toward the creature; divine economy concentrated in Christ corresponding to the Crown of Attributes

ADDITIONS — HERS

  • Mark 9:23; Matthew 19:26; Luke 1:37 — Hogan cites the nothing-is-impossible passages for the soul’s unlimited power of deployment over the Conquered DW, noting the Lord delights in the littleness of the creature coming to conquer him. The implicit scriptural ground is the creature’s share in divine omnipotence through the DW. Supplementary to Stage One’s 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 from the inheritance-rights angle.

VIP / SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS

No formal VIP designation. Hogan calls the entry “a very wonderful text” and, for the Conquering Joys paragraph (stake of pain and love), says it is “extremely important,” warning that “a lot of people would like to have the wonders and glories and prodigies of the divine will minus the suffering — it’s not possible.” The weight of pastoral emphasis is high but does not cross the threshold of formal VIP language.

STAGE TWO SYNTHESIS

Three load-bearing scriptural traditions emerge from the combined analysis: (1) the nuptial tradition (Song of Songs 2:16; 6:3; John 17:21; Galatians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 6:17) grounding the mutual-conquest language in the theology of spousal union, where domination and freedom are inseparable; (2) the suffering-and-glory tradition (Colossians 1:24; Romans 8:17; Philippians 3:10-11; 2 Corinthians 4:17) as the irreducible foundation for the Conquering Joys — the stake of pain is not incidental but constitutive, and Hogan’s emphasis on this as the entry’s most important doctrinal warning confirms it as the entry’s center of gravity; and (3) the Fount/Wisdom ontology (John 4:14; 7:37-38; Romans 11:36; Wisdom 7:25; Exodus 3:14) providing the metaphysical ground for the DW as Fount and Substance of the Supreme Being — a formal theological definition that neither Stage One nor Hogan exhausts. Jacob’s Ladder converging with the Revelation incense imagery marks the commerce register as a self-contained biblical tradition. The Jealousy and Custody tradition (Exodus 34:14; 2 Corinthians 11:2) operates as a formally distinct theological register anchoring why the Generation of Acts matters to God with the intensity it does — the Jealousy is nuptial, and the Custody is total.

Cross-Entry Synthesis

Volume 30 — June 29, 1932 “Prodigies and Secrets that the Living in the Divine Will encloses. Moving scenes. Generations of the Divine Acts in the creature. Divine Custody and Jealousy.”

I. Mutual Conquest and Nuptial Union of Wills

The double-conquest structure — DW conquering the creature and creature conquering the DW — is grounded in the nuptial tradition by both citation streams. Stage One’s Song of Songs 2:16 and 6:3 (mutual belonging of bride and bridegroom) and Hogan’s identification of “a true divine marriage” with “rights on both sides, just as in any marriage” converge on the same structure. The Johannine anchor (John 17:21) establishes the governing archetype: the Trinitarian mutual-indwelling in which neither party is diminished becomes the model for the creature-DW relation. Galatians 2:20 and 1 Corinthians 6:17 supply the Pauline ground: the creature’s reconstituted agency through indwelling is the NT form of the nuptial mutual-conquest — dominating precisely by being dominated, “I live, yet not I” describing not self-extinction but the highest activation of the self through union. Romans 8:14-17 places this in the inheritance structure: the Spirit’s leading (domination) and the creature’s co-dominion are two sides of one adoption. Revelation 3:20’s reciprocal-dining image completes the movement.

The two citation streams are complementary: Stage One emphasizes the ontological structure of the union, Hogan the phenomenological experience and ecclesial dimension. Together they show that the mutual-conquest is simultaneously an ontological reality (union of wills producing transformation) and a lived nuptial co-ownership with rights exercised on both sides.

II. The Conquering Will and the Delighting Will: New Joys Through the Stake of Pain

Stage One’s citations (Colossians 1:24; Romans 8:17; Revelation 2:7, 21:7; Philippians 3:10-11; 2 Corinthians 4:17; John 16:21) and Hogan’s pastoral commentary provide complementary registers. Stage One establishes the doctrinal structure: Colossians 1:24 as the formal anchor for the creature’s irreplaceable contribution (completing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions); Romans 8:17 as the structural ground for why the blessed can no longer supply it (they have the glory but have passed beyond the co-suffering). The entry’s claim is theologically precise: there are Joys of God that the blessed in heaven cannot generate because those Joys are formed exclusively through the stake of pain and love borne on earth.

Hogan supplies the pastoral weight: “a lot of people would like to have the wonders and glories and prodigies of the divine will minus the suffering — it’s not possible.” The Revelation conquering-one vocabulary (2:7; 21:7) gives the entry’s central term its eschatological weight; Philippians 3:10-11 and 2 Corinthians 4:17 illuminate the productive paradox from different angles; John 16:21’s birthing image captures the generative structure precisely — the anguish of the stake is not suffered passively but is the medium from which the New Joy is born.

The two citation streams agree: the suffering is constitutive, not incidental. The distinction between Conquering and Delighting is structural — two formally different modes of divine joy with different sources, different agents, and different effects, neither reducible to the other.

III. True Divine Commerce Between Heaven and Earth

Stage One and Hogan converge on Genesis 28:12 (Jacob’s Ladder) as the governing type. Hogan names it explicitly: “This is the true stairway to heaven which Jacob had an inkling of — he saw angels going up and coming down, but it’s actually divine will acts.” Stage One adds its Christological fulfillment in John 1:51 (Christ as the true Ladder through whom all commerce is conducted). The two streams are complementary: Hogan establishes the typological identification, Stage One completes it Christologically and eschatologically through the Revelation incense imagery (5:8; 8:3-4) — the creature’s ascending DW-acts are received and held before the throne as heavenly treasures. Hebrews 7:25’s perpetual intercession provides the continuous pattern into which the creature’s acts enter.

The creature as “bank” — actively dispensing the Conquered DW to all — is the CDL-1 mechanism at its most publicly distributional: where prior CDL-1 registers described interior holding, this entry describes active public dispensing to all comers. Hogan’s Mark 9:23 / Matthew 19:26 / Luke 1:37 (nothing-is-impossible) and Stage One’s 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 (heir’s rights over all things) illuminate different but complementary grounds for the creature’s unlimited deployment authority: omnipotence and legal inheritance together establish the creature’s power to send the Conquered DW wherever she wills.

IV. The Divine Will as Fount and Substance of the Supreme Being

This movement delivers the entry’s formal theological definition of the DW. Both citation streams arrive at the same identification without competition: Hogan states it directly (“the divine will is the fount and substance of our supreme being — that’s the essence of God”), while Stage One’s citations (Romans 11:36; John 4:14; 7:37-38; Exodus 3:14; Wisdom 7:25; Colossians 1:17) provide the scriptural architecture.

Romans 11:36’s from-through-to formula establishes the Will as the “from” and “through” at the level of the divine being itself. The Johannine interior-spring passages (John 4:14; 7:37-38) capture the dynamic within the creature. Wisdom 7:25’s Wisdom as pure emanation from God’s being is the deuterocanonical parallel. Exodus 3:14 grounds the definitional move theologically: the DW is not a divine faculty alongside others but the ontological ground of the divine I AM — which is precisely why all Attributes form its Crown rather than standing beside it as peers.

The Crown of Attributes — Power, Sanctity, Goodness rendering Homage and Custody to the Will — constitutes a formally new doctrinal register (FSB-1 candidate): the DW is not the object of the Attributes but their ontological source and ground. Revelation 4:8-11’s perpetual thronal acclamation is the eschatological form of this dependence; Ephesians 1:3-6’s concentration of all blessings in Christ corresponds structurally.

V. Generation of Divine Acts, Divine Custody and Jealousy, and the Crown of Attributes

Both streams recognize the Generation of Acts as the entry’s doctrinal culmination. Stage One’s Galatians 4:19 (childbirth until Christ is formed) provides the generational vocabulary and names the generation as a labor undertaken from God’s side with urgency. John 15:4-5 names the condition: the Generation requires the creature’s abiding as much as God’s generative initiative — the Fount generates only where it abides.

The divine Jealousy citations (Exodus 34:14; 2 Corinthians 11:2) establish that the divine care for the creature’s DW-acts is nuptial, not merely prudential: God’s own name is Jealous, and Paul applies nuptial jealousy to the community’s fidelity precisely because any departure injures the betrothal bond. The Custody images (Psalm 91:4; Deuteronomy 32:10; Isaiah 49:15-16) show the same intensity in the protective register — the creature is the apple of God’s eye, engraved on the palm, covered under divine wings.

Hogan’s framing of the God-Operating vs. God-Hindered contrast as the pastoral key to the entire entry advances two tracking items simultaneously: the God-Hindered condition named as what DW-acts remedy (IAD-1 inverse register) and the God-Operating purpose stated with maximum formal contrast (PDW-1 advance). Both are present in a single sentence: “we feel ourselves as God operating, not as the God who is hindered.”

Synthesis

The dominant biblical imagination is trinitarian-nuptial. The mutual-conquest structure, the Conquering/Delighting distinction, the True Divine Commerce, and the Crown of Attributes all operate within a single frame: the creature’s union with God is a marriage, and marriage has two sides — the stake of pain and love forming Conquering Joys, and the commerce of mutual delight forming the DW’s Delighting mode. The Johannine tradition (John 4:14; 7:37-38; 17:21; 1:51) carries the highest doctrinal weight for the Fount/Substance definition and the heaven-earth commerce. The Pauline tradition (Colossians 1:24; Romans 8:17; Galatians 2:20; Romans 11:36) provides the suffering-and-glory framework for the Conquering Joys and the transformation theology for the mutual-conquest.

The three findings carrying the most theological significance: (1) the formal Conquering/Delighting distinction — anchored in Colossians 1:24 and confirmed by Hogan’s pastoral weight — formally articulates that there are joys accessible to God only through the creature’s earthly suffering, and the blessed cannot provide them; (2) the Fount/Substance/Crown-of-Attributes definition (Romans 11:36, Exodus 3:14, Wisdom 7:25) constitutes a formally new ontological register (FSB-1 candidate) stating that the DW is the ground of divine self-existence with all Attributes in dependent Homage around it; (3) the True Divine Commerce (Genesis 28:12 fulfilled in John 1:51) integrates with DVB-1’s Bilocation mechanism — the DW stays and departs simultaneously to conduct the commerce — with the creature as distributing bank of the Conquered DW in the most publicly active CDL-1 form to date.

DVB-1 advance — Bilocation as mechanism of the True Divine Commerce: “My Will, conquered by the soul, does not hold Itself back; Bilocating Itself, It stays and sets out for her Celestial Fatherland only to comply with she who has conquered It.” The Bilocation of the Will is explicitly named as the specific divine capacity enabling the True Divine Commerce — distinct from the April 30 register (Bilocation as mechanism of the Gift) and from prior DVB-1 registers (bilocating virtue, historical-Jesus-act bilocation). This is the commerce-mechanism register: the DW can both remain in the creature on earth and set out for heaven simultaneously because Bilocation is constitutive of its nature.

CDL-1 probable Active crossing — bank/distributing-depository register: “acting as a bank, she would want everyone to take so great a Good… sends It off to Heaven as a Sacred Right of the Celestial Fatherland and to whomever wants It.” The creature as active distributing bank of the Conquered DW is the most commercially explicit CDL-1 image in the corpus, extending beyond interior holding to active public dispensing to all. With this bank register added to the sacred-deposit (May 15), Depository (December 21), Depository-of-souls (December 25), and Hosts-within-herself (November 16) registers, CDL-1 is probable Active. Registry verification required to confirm.

FSB-1 new candidate — Fount-and-Substance-of-the-Supreme-Being Doctrine: “since It is Fount and Substance of Our Supreme Being, Our Power, Sanctity, Goodness and all Our Attributes form a Crown around Our Will and all Its Acts, to be dependent upon It and give It the Homage and Custody of all Its Acts, whether It does them in Us or in the creature.” First formal statement in the corpus of the DW’s ontological primacy within the divine being itself: the DW is not one Attribute alongside others but the Fount and Substance from which all Attributes derive their activity and to which they render dependent Homage. Distinct from PDW-1 (purpose of divine works), CDS-1 (sanctity-distinctions), and TCA-1 (act-circuit). Opening entry: June 29, 1932. Governing anchors: Romans 11:36; Exodus 3:14; John 4:14; 7:37-38; Wisdom 7:25; Colossians 1:17; Psalm 36:9.

PDW-1 advance — God Operating vs. God Hindered: “We feel Ourselves the God Operating, not the God hindered, unable to carry out the Generation of Our Acts because Our Will is not there in the creature.” Most formally contrasted PDW-1 pair in Volume 30: the fulfilled purpose (God Operating freely in the Generation of Acts) set against its precise negation (God Hindered when His Will is absent from the creature).

IAD-1 advance — God-Hindered register: The “God Hindered” formulation is simultaneously an IAD-1 advance: the deprivation of divine generativity when the creature’s own will displaces the DW is named as the operational form of the divine deficiency. Prior IAD-1 registers used longing, isolation, wounding, and suspension language; “unable to carry out the Generation of Our Acts” is the most operationally precise statement of the divine constraint.

TCA-1 probable confirmation — mutual-conquest circuit: The three-stage TCA-1 circuit is present in the mutual-conquest structure: God gives His Will conquering the creature (Stage 1 / Creative Strength forms the prime act); the creature receives and forms the conquest of the DW in her acts (Stage 2 / Operating Love); the creature sends the Conquered DW back to heaven as Sacred Right (Stage 3 / Love of Completion returns the act). The circuit then opens again as the creature “sets about doing more acts in It, to reacquire It as many times.” Confirm against TCA-1 governing definition at v66.
