Two Species of Love
Two categorically distinct species of love — spiritual-divine love ordering the soul toward God, and corporal-disordered love ordering the soul toward creaturely ends — form two different lives (sanctification vs. damnation), with the mind-and-hand analogy governing their structural relationship.
