Dual Birth Mechanism
The doctrine that the soul is subject to two competing birth-mechanisms: the divine birth through which Christ is formed in her (Galatians 4:19) and the diabolical birth through which sin’s gestation (James 1:14-15: concupiscence → sin → death) continues the serpent’s enmity (Genesis 3:15); the soul choosing the life of the father of lies (John 8:44) participates in the second birth.
