Mutual Breathing Doctrine
The doctrine that the union between Christ and the soul operates as a mutual breathing: as God breathed life into Adam (Genesis 2:7) and Christ breathed the Spirit upon the disciples (John 20:22), the soul dwelling in Christ breathes him in while he breathes himself into her, producing the mutual indwelling of John 14:20-21 through continuous pneumatic exchange.
