32-1933-04-02 Biblical Resonance Analysis
Volume 32 — April 2, 1933 “How the Breath and Heartbeat of God is the ‘I love you’; His love is Generative and Operating. The greatest Prodigy is enclosing His Life in the creature.”
STAGE ONE — INDEPENDENT BIBLICAL IDENTIFICATION
The Divine Being as Substance All of Love
“Our Divine Being is nothing other than a Substance all of love, such that as a consequence everything that is inside and outside of Us, everything is love. Therefore Our Breath is love, and the air that We breathe is love. Our Heartbeat is love, and while We Palpitate love, it forms the circulation of Pure love in Our Divine Being with a course that never stops… everything that is not Love does not enter into Us, nor can it enter, nor will it find the place to put itself; the fullness of Our Love would burn everything that was not Pure and Holy Love.”
1 John 4:8, 16 — “He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love. We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.” The entry’s opening declaration — “Our Divine Being is nothing other than a Substance all of love” — is the ontological unpacking of John’s compressed theological identification: what John states as a predicate (“God is love”), the entry discloses as a substantial description of the divine interior life — the breath, heartbeat, and circulation that constitute God’s immanent being are all love without remainder. Direct doctrinal parallel
Deuteronomy 4:24; Hebrews 12:29 (translation pending) — “For the Lord your God is a consuming fire” / “for our God is a consuming fire.” The fire-imagery underlying “the fullness of Our Love would burn everything that was not Pure and Holy Love” is this tradition’s content: the divine love is not merely warm but consuming, and its holiness is precisely its incompatibility with what is not love — to enter the divine presence with un-love is to meet the burning. Direct doctrinal parallel
Matthew 3:11–12 — “He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit. His winnowing … his threshing floor. He will gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.” John the Baptist’s two-fire theology — the Spirit-and-love fire that purifies and the unquenchable fire that destroys — maps onto the entry’s bifurcation: those who receive the divine Breath of love are purified by it; what is not love cannot enter the divine being because the fullness of love would burn it instantly. Hogan identifies this text; Stage One concurs. Direct doctrinal parallel
Exodus 3:14 — “God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” The divine self-identification as pure Being — existence itself — is the philosophical ground for the entry’s “Substance all of love”: to say God IS love as substance is to say that love is what the divine I AM is; the heart of divine Being is not power or knowledge but love in its fullness. Christological/Trinitarian
Luke 15:11–32 (paraphrase) — the parable of the prodigal son, with the father running to meet the returning child. The entry’s claim that “everything that is outside of Us… is love” and that God “would want Love from everyone” is the parabolic form of this text: the divine love radiates outward toward every creature and awaits the returning love of each, as the father waits for and runs to the returning son. Hogan identifies the Lucan chapter as background; Stage One reads it as the narrative expression of the love-substance doctrine. Affective/meditative
The Divine Breath and Heartbeat as “I love you”
“Our Breath is love… Our Heartbeat is love… this circulation, while it conserves Our Life in the Pure and Perfect Equilibrium of Love, it gives Love to everyone… But who directs this Life of Ours all of Love? The Light, the Sanctity, the Power, the All-Seeingness, the Immensity of Our Will.”
Genesis 2:7 (CPDV) — “And then the Lord God formed man from the clay of the earth, and he breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul” The divine breath that created human life is here disclosed as the breath of love — the first Breath of love that gave human existence is the same circulatory Breath described in the entry, extended from the act of creation into the perpetual act of sustaining. Direct doctrinal parallel
John 20:22 — “When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit!” Christ’s post-Resurrection breath — identified by Hogan as the New Creation parallel to Genesis 2:7 — is the New Covenant form of the divine Breath of love: the Spirit breathed into the disciples is the love-breath in its redemptive register, creating the Church as the new living being. Direct doctrinal parallel
Ezekiel 37:5–6 — “The Lord GOD says to these bones: “Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you will live. … Then you will know that I am the LORD.”’” The breath of life given to the dry bones — the Spirit’s creative love-breath — anticipates the entry’s disclosure that with “a simple Breath We form Our Divine Life in the creature”: the same divine Breath that raises the dead valley is the Breath that encloses the divine Life within the soul. Typological
Psalm 104:29–30 — “You hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust. You send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.” The divine Spirit as the animating breath on whose presence or absence creaturely life depends is the Psalmic ground for the entry’s breath-doctrine: the divine Breath of love is not merely an initial gift but the continuously constituting source of creaturely existence — “it conserves Our Life in the Pure and Perfect Equilibrium of Love.” Direct doctrinal parallel
Romans 5:5 — “and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” The Spirit as the medium through which divine love circulates into the creature corresponds to the entry’s description of the DW as what “directs this Life of Ours all of Love… the Immensity of Our Will that fills Heaven and earth”: the Spirit’s pouring of love into hearts is the experiential form of the divine circulation that the entry describes as the interior life of the Trinity extended outward. Direct doctrinal parallel
FSB-1: Fecund and Generating Love-Substance
“It is not a sterile love and Will, no, no! It is Fecund, and it Generates continuously. It is Operating, and inside of one single Breath of Love It forms the most Beautiful and Marvelous Works, the most Unheard-of Prodigies.”
John 4:14 — “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” The divine love as an inexhaustible, self-generating spring is the Johannine expression of the entry’s “Fecund” and “Generates continuously”: the love-substance is not a static reservoir but an active fountain producing life, and it does not exhaust itself in giving — the spring wells up perpetually, as the divine love generates Works without ceasing. Direct doctrinal parallel
John 7:38 — “He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.” The rivers of living water flowing from the believer — and ultimately from Christ himself — are the creaturely participation in the generative love-substance: the fecundity of divine love generates “rivers” of creative life in the creature who receives it, as the entry’s “Fecund” love forms “the most Beautiful and Marvelous Works” through each breath. Direct doctrinal parallel
Wisdom 7:22, 27 (translation pending) — “For in her there is a spirit that is intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, subtle… She is a breath of the power of God… Though she is but one, she can do all things, and while remaining in herself, she renews all things.” The attributes of Wisdom — intelligent, fecund, self-consistent, renewing all things — describe the same generative Love-Substance the entry identifies: the DW, described as Wisdom’s functional equivalent throughout the corpus, is the “one” that can do “all things,” generating the most beautiful Works from a single Breath while remaining wholly itself. Direct doctrinal parallel
Colossians 1:17 — “He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.” The divine holding-together that conserves all creation is the Conserving mode of the same love-substance the entry describes: the Fecund love that generates is also the Conserving love that sustains — the two modes (Generating and Conserving) are aspects of the single love-Substance. Christological/Trinitarian
DVB-1: The Unique Divine Prerogative of Bilocation
“To the Great Prodigy of Our Life in the creature that no one else, for whatever love and power that he could have, can boast of saying: ‘I can Bilocate myself; and while I remain what I am, I can form another Life of mine inside of a person who I Love.’ It would be mad and absurd to say it. Neither Angel, nor Saint, has this Power, only your God, your Jesus has this Power.”
Colossians 1:27 — “to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” The mystery of “Christ in you” is the doctrinal content of the bilocation-prodigy: the DW’s forming of its own Life within the creature is exactly what Paul names as the previously hidden mystery now disclosed — the indwelling that no angel or saint could accomplish because it requires the fullness that only divine Being possesses. Christological/Trinitarian
John 14:23 — “Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” The Trinitarian indwelling — Father and Son making their home in the loving creature — is the explicit statement of the bilocation-prodigy at its most intimate: the divine being, while remaining wholly what it is in heaven, makes its habitation within the soul — the exact “while I remain what I am” structure of the entry’s bilocation claim. Christological/Trinitarian
Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.” Paul’s formula of Christ-in-me is the most concentrated experiential statement of the bilocation-prodigy: the divine Life has genuinely formed itself within the creature, so that the creature’s life is identified with Christ’s living. The entry provides the ontological ground for what Paul states existentially: only God can do this, because only God’s Being is Fullness and Totality that can form itself within another without ceasing to be itself. Direct doctrinal parallel
1 Kings 8:27; Isaiah 57:15 — “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built!” / “For thus says the One who is high and lifted up… I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit.” Solomon’s astonishment — how can God, whom all heavens cannot contain, dwell in a temple? — is here surpassed: God bilocates not into a temple but into the “little circle of the soul,” which is far smaller. Isaiah’s pairing of the divine transcendence with the divine immanence provides the two poles that the entry names as simultaneously held: God is Immensity filling heaven and earth AND forms his Life in the “little circle” of the soul. Direct doctrinal parallel
ILY-1: God’s Own Breath as the Creature’s “I love You”
“This is why your continuous ‘I love You’ is Ours. It is the Breath of Our Life, it is Our Heartbeat that does not know how to Palpitate other than ‘I Love you, I Love you, I Love you.’ This serves to maintain Our Life that does not know how to do anything other than Love… while We give you Love, you give Us love, and fused together Ours is woven with your ‘I love You.’ They meet each other, become one with each other, and one ‘I Love You’ alone is felt, while they are two, that enrapturing each other in turn, form one alone.”
1 John 4:19 — “We love him, because he first loved us.” The entry’s most precise doctrinal statement on the ILY-1 structure is here: the creature’s “I love You” is “Ours” because it is the echo and extension of the divine love that generates it. The creature’s ILY is not an independent contribution but the return of what was first given — the creature breathes back God’s own Breath, and two become one. Direct doctrinal parallel
John 15:9–10 — “Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.” The love-current flowing from the Father through the Son to the creature — and the creature’s abiding within it — is the structure the entry describes as the circulation of love forming “one single Life.” The ILY-1 fused exchange is the concrete form of this abiding: to abide in Christ’s love is to be woven into the divine heartbeat. Direct doctrinal parallel
Romans 8:26–27 — “In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.” The Spirit’s intercession within the creature — the divine Breath praying from within — is the doctrinal background for the entry’s fusion of the creature’s ILY with God’s own: the creature’s prayer is the Spirit’s own movement within her, and what is heard as “one ILY” is in fact both together, just as the Spirit’s intercession and the creature’s prayer cannot be separated. Direct doctrinal parallel
Song of Songs 8:6 — “Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of the LORD.” The seal upon the heart — mutual possession through love that is itself a flame of the Lord — is the Canticle’s image for what the entry describes: the creature’s ILY woven into God’s own ILY, “enrapturing each other in turn, form one alone.” The divine fire of love in the Canticle is the same fire that burns everything not-love in the entry’s opening movement. Affective/meditative
The sorrowful and delirious love in those who suffocate the DW:
Luke 15:20; John 1:10–11 (translation pending) — “And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him” / “He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.” The divine love “giving and not receiving” — living in those who do not know it as a “Sorrowful and Delirious Love” — is the IAD-1 register, and both texts supply its scriptural ground: the waiting father whose son has not yet come home, and the Word present in his own creation without being received. Affective/meditative
God in Creation vs. God in the Soul: The Four-Mode Structure
“In created things, Our Divinity is in the Creating and Conserving Act… On the other hand, in the human creature, Our Divine Act is Creating, Conserving, Operating, and Growing. Our Love never says enough for her, no, but it always wants to give and Operate New Things… New Love, now New Light, now New Science, New Sanctity, New Beauty.”
Acts 17:28 — “‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’” Paul’s citation at the Areopagus covers both tiers of the entry’s distinction: the divine “Creating and Conserving Act” in all creation is the condition for “in him we live and move,” while the “Creating, Conserving, Operating, and Growing Act” in the creature-made-in-his-image is the “being” that participates in the divine operating life. Direct doctrinal parallel
Colossians 1:16–17 — “For by him all things were created … him. He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.” The Creating and Conserving Acts that sustain inanimate creation are this text’s content: the sun, sea, and sky “hold together” in him because his conserving act never withdraws from them, and they possess their fullness completely within that two-mode relationship. Christological/Trinitarian
John 5:17 — “But Jesus answered them, “My Father is still working, so I am working, too.” The continuous divine working — not yet complete, not static — is the Operating-and-Growing register of the entry’s four-mode structure: the Father and Son are always working within the human creature, always giving New Love, New Light, New Science, New Sanctity, always generating the “rain of Creating, Conserving, Operating, and Growing Act.” Christological/Trinitarian
Revelation 21:5 — “He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.” The divine promise of perpetual newness — always new, never merely patched or repeated — is the eschatological form of the entry’s ATF-1 register: “New Love, now New Light, now New Science, New Sanctity, New Beauty.” What Revelation promises eschatologically is disclosed in the entry as operative now in every soul that corresponds to the divine Operating Act. Direct doctrinal parallel
2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.” The continuous newness of the divine operation in the correspondent soul — Hogan’s Scrooge application: “I am not the man I was” — is the experiential form of Paul’s “new creation”: not a single renovation but a continuous state in which the divine Operating-and-Growing Act perpetually produces something new within the creature. Direct doctrinal parallel
The commerce between heaven and earth:
Proverbs 8:30–31 — “then I was the craftsman by his side. I was a delight day by day, always rejoicing before him, rejoicing in his whole world. My delight was with the sons of men.” The cosmic commerce opened by creation — “By Creating the creature We opened the commerce between Heaven and earth, and We placed in traffic Our Operating Way” — is this text’s content in its commercial form: Wisdom’s delight in the children of men, her position alongside the Creator, is the original template for the “We to give and she to receive” commerce that creation inaugurated. Direct doctrinal parallel
1 Corinthians 3:9 — “For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.” The invitation to operate together — “We want her together to Operate, We do not want to do it alone” — is Paul’s precise formula for the co-operative dimension of the entry’s four-mode structure: the human creature is not merely the receptacle of divine operation but the co-worker, the synergos, in the ongoing commerce between heaven and earth. Direct doctrinal parallel
STAGE TWO — COMPARISON WITH HOGAN’S COMMENTARY
CORRESPONDENCES
Both Stage One and Hogan identify 1 John 4:8, 16 (God is love) as the controlling text for the opening movement. Both identify Matthew 3:11–12 (Holy Spirit and fire) for the “fullness of Our Love would burn everything not-love” passage. Both identify Hebrews 12:14 for the purification/holiness requirement (Hogan cites it twice explicitly). Both identify John 20:22 (Jesus breathing on the apostles) and Genesis 2:7 (God breathing life into Adam) for the divine-Breath movement. Both identify John 15:9 and 1 John 4:19 for the ILY-1 passage. Both identify Proverbs 8:30–31 for the commerce/co-operation passage. Both identify 1 Corinthians 3:9 (fellow workers with God) for the “We do not want to do it alone” passage. Both identify Revelation 21:5 (“making all things new”) for the perpetual-newness register.
DEVIATIONS
Hogan cites John 15:5 (“without me you can do nothing”) and Philippians 4:13 (“I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me”) for the opening “let us do it together / by myself I do not know how to do anything” passage. Stage One does not develop these citations as a separate movement, treating the opening primarily as context for the entry’s doctrinal disclosures. These are complementary rather than conflicting: Hogan’s citations anchor the creature’s radical dependency in the Johannine and Pauline frameworks simultaneously, while Stage One treats the opening as the affective context for the ILY-1 and DVB-1 disclosures that follow.
Hogan makes the interpretive observation that Luisa’s continuous “I love You” is “breathing back God’s own Breath” and uses the invocation “breathe on me Breath of God” as the practical form. Stage One develops this through Ezekiel 37:5–6 (the breath raising the dry bones) and Psalm 104:29–30 (the Spirit sent forth / taken away), which Hogan does not cite explicitly. These extend the divine-Breath theology from the Resurrection setting (John 20:22) and creation setting (Genesis 2:7) into the prophetic-restoration and cosmic-conservation registers.

ADDITIONS — HERS
Hogan develops John 13:34–35 (“Love one another as I have loved you; by this all will know you are my disciples”) as an application of the love-substance doctrine: the creature whose ILY is woven with God’s own becomes, in the world, the living expression of the divine ILY to others — “and so together we say to the earth and to every living person from Adam to Zachary: I love you.” The implicit scriptural background is also John 17:21 (that they may be one, so that the world may believe), where the visible unity-of-love becomes the world’s evangelical sign. Stage One identifies the ILY-1 structure as primarily interior and divine; Hogan’s addition of John 13:34–35 and the missionary dimension is an important complementary angle.
Hogan identifies Hebrews 12:14 (“strive for… holiness without which no one will see the Lord”) for the “everything that is not Love does not enter into Us” passage. Stage One approaches the same text through the fire-of-love tradition (Matthew 3:11–12; Deuteronomy 4:24) rather than the holiness-requirement tradition. The two streams converge on the same doctrinal point from different angles: Hogan’s angle is the creature’s required disposition (pursue holiness as the condition of entry); Stage One’s angle is the divine self-protection (love-fire burns what is not love). Both are operative simultaneously in the entry.
VIP / SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS
Hogan does not designate this entry as a VIP. No formal elevation language. No VIP recorded.
STAGE TWO SYNTHESIS
This entry is one of the corpus’s most formally complete treatments of the divine inner life as constitutively love, and of the ILY-1 exchange as the creature’s participation in the divine breath-and-heartbeat. The dominant scriptural traditions are the Johannine (1 John 4; John 14–17; John 20:22), the Pauline indwelling theology (Galatians 2:20; Colossians 1:27; Romans 5:5; 8:26–27), and the Wisdom tradition (Wisdom 7:22, 27; Proverbs 8:30–31; John 4:14; 7:38). The bilocation-prodigy passage introduces the entry’s most formally exclusive doctrinal claim — only God can do this — and the four-mode structure (Creating/Conserving/Operating/Growing) provides the most formally differentiated statement yet of how the divine presence in the human creature differs in kind from its presence in inanimate creation.
Cross-Entry Synthesis
Volume 32 — April 2, 1933 “How the Breath and Heartbeat of God is the ‘I love you’; His love is Generative and Operating. The greatest Prodigy is enclosing His Life in the creature.”
The Divine Being as Substance All of Love
The entry opens from Luisa’s posture of complete dependence — “just newly born, I am weak” — and the first doctrinal disclosure moves immediately to the absolute: “Our Divine Being is nothing other than a Substance all of love.” This is simultaneously the simplest and most comprehensive statement in the entry, and every subsequent movement flows from it.
1 John 4:8 and 16 (God is love), identified by both Stage One and Hogan, provide the controlling New Testament identification. The entry unpacks what John’s compressed formula implies at the level of divine interiority: if God is love, then every attribute and activity of the divine being is love — the Breath, the Heartbeat, the Circulation that “conserves Our Life in the Pure and Perfect Equilibrium of Love.” This is not a property among others but the substance itself; as Stage One notes through Exodus 3:14, to say God IS love as substance is to identify love with the divine I AM.
The entry’s corollary — “everything that is not Love does not enter into Us, nor can it enter, nor will it find the place to put itself; the fullness of Our Love would burn everything” — follows necessarily from the identification. Hogan and Stage One both ground this in the fire-of-God tradition: Hebrews 12:29 (consuming fire), Deuteronomy 4:24, and Matthew 3:11–12 (the two-fire theology John the Baptist draws from the same tradition). The difference between the purifying and destroying fires is the difference between what submits to love and what resists it; the divine love-substance burns everything not-love because it is all-love, not because it is punitive.
Hogan’s pastoral development through the prodigal-son parable (Luke 15) provides the affective complement: the divine love-substance radiating outward toward every creature, waiting for the return of love, is the father who runs to meet the returning son — love’s structure is always outward-giving and return-awaiting, never self-enclosed.
The Divine Breath and Heartbeat: FSB-1 Advance
The entry’s disclosure of the divine Breath and Heartbeat as the interior mechanism of the love-substance constitutes a probable second FSB-1 appearance. The first appearance (June 29, 1932) introduced the Fount-and-Substance-of-the-Supreme-Being as a doctrinal category. The April 2, 1933 entry advances this by providing the internal mechanism: the love-Substance is not static but circulatory, breathing and palpitating continuously, and the divine Qualities (Light, Sanctity, Power, All-Seeingness, Immensity of Will) direct this circulation.
Genesis 2:7 and John 20:22 (identified by both Stage One and Hogan) establish the two Creation-Breath and New-Creation-Breath events as historical manifestations of this interior divine Breath: the same love-Breath that animated Adam is the Breath Christ breathed on the apostles, and both are exterior expressions of the interior circulation the entry describes. Ezekiel 37:5–6 and Psalm 104:29–30 (Stage One additions) extend this through the prophetic-restoration and cosmic-conservation registers: the Breath is not only originating but sustaining, not only life-giving but life-conserving.
The most formally concentrated FSB-1 language appears in the Fecundity passage: “It is not a sterile love and Will, no, no! It is Fecund, and it Generates continuously. It is Operating, and inside of one single Breath of Love It forms the most Beautiful and Marvelous Works.” This moves beyond stating that God is love to characterizing the love-Substance as intrinsically generative: it cannot not generate, as a spring cannot not spring. John 4:14 (the spring welling up to eternal life), John 7:38 (rivers of living water flowing from within), and Wisdom 7:22 and 27 (Wisdom fecund, renewing all things from within herself) all illuminate the same generative character: the love-Substance is not a container but a source.
DVB-1: The Unique Bilocation-Prodigy
The entry’s most formally significant doctrinal statement on DVB-1 is its claim of exclusive uniqueness: “no one else, for whatever love and power that he could have, can boast of saying: ‘I can Bilocate myself; and while I remain what I am, I can form another Life of mine inside of a person who I Love.‘” The argument is ontological: neither angel nor saint has this power “because Our Being is Fullness, is Totality, is everything and fills everything.” Only a being that is constitutively Fullness and Totality can bilocate without diminishment or division — all other beings are partial, so any division would reduce them, but the divine Being’s fullness is indivisible and therefore capable of being wholly present in the soul while remaining wholly present everywhere else.
Colossians 1:27 (Christ in you, the hope of glory) is identified by Stage One as the concentrated Pauline statement of this mystery, and John 14:23 (Father and Son making their home within) is its Trinitarian form: the divine Fullness enters the “little circle of the soul” without ceasing to fill heaven and earth. Solomon’s astonishment in 1 Kings 8:27 (how can God dwell in a house when the heavens cannot contain him?) is surpassed by the entry’s disclosure: God dwells in the little circle of the soul, which is far smaller than any temple, precisely because the logic of divine Fullness operates differently from finite presence — the Fullness is not constrained by the smallness of its dwelling.
Galatians 2:20 (Christ lives in me) is the experiential counterpart: Paul does not theorize about indwelling but states it as his own life’s fact, and the entry provides the metaphysical ground for what Paul names. The bilocation is not a theological metaphor but a real event possible only because of what the divine Being is — Totality that can be entirely present everywhere without being divided.
Hogan develops the DVB-1 theology by connecting it forward to the creature’s role: “we will become a little tiny tabernacle of the most high” when we surrender to the DW at every moment. The implicit scriptural background is 1 Corinthians 6:19 (your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit), which Stage One has previously identified in the living-garment movement, now appearing in its DVB-1 register.
ILY-1: God’s Own Heartbeat as the Creature’s Voice
The ILY-1 disclosure in this entry is one of the most formally complete in the corpus. Three distinct layers are disclosed in sequence:
Layer one — origin: “your continuous ‘I love You’ is Ours.” The creature’s ILY is not her own independent response but the return-form of God’s own Breath; 1 John 4:19 (we love because he first loved us) is its doctrinal ground. The creature does not generate love from herself but breathes back what the divine Breath has placed in her.
Layer two — fusion: “while We give you Love, you give Us love, and fused together Ours is woven with your ‘I love You.‘” The two ILYs — divine and creaturely — do not merely run in parallel but are woven into one: “one ‘I Love You’ alone is felt, while they are two.” Romans 8:26–27 (the Spirit interceding within the creature, indistinguishable from the creature’s own prayer) provides the doctrinal background: the Spirit’s voice and the creature’s voice become experientially inseparable when the creature lives in the DW. Song of Songs 8:6 (the seal upon the heart, the flame of the Lord) provides the affective image: mutual possession through the fire of love that is itself divine.
Layer three — contrast: “All the other creatures keep It suffocated, and they live as if they did not have It. And My Love gives and does not receive. And I Live in them with a Sorrowful and Delirious Love, without anyone knowing that I am in them.” This is the IAD-1 register — the divine love present but unreceived, living in the suffocating creature with “Sorrowful and Delirious Love.” John 1:10–11 (in the world but not received) and Luke 15:20 (the father waiting for the son who has not yet returned) supply the scriptural ground for the divine longing that is the inverse of the ILY-1 completion.
Hogan’s addition of John 13:34–35 (love one another as I have loved you) opens the missionary dimension: the fused ILY is not solely a private interior exchange but the creature’s becoming the divine love’s voice to all creation — “we say to the earth and to every living person from Adam to Zachary: I love you.” This extends the ILY-1 structure outward: the creature who receives and returns the divine ILY becomes its medium for the world, the one through whom the love-Breath reaches those who suffocate it.
The Four-Mode Structure: Creating/Conserving/Operating/Growing
The entry’s closing doctrinal movement completes a structural distinction running through the corpus: the divine presence in inanimate creation (Creating and Conserving only) differs in kind from the divine presence in the human creature (Creating, Conserving, Operating, and Growing). The sun possesses its fullness of light completely and statically; the soul is a creature of perpetual dynamic surplus, in whom the divine Operating Act is “always in motion” and the Growing Act produces perpetual newness.
Acts 17:28 (“in him we live and move and have our being”) applies to both tiers — all creation is in him — but the specific modes differ: inanimate creation’s “being” is static fullness; the creature’s “being” includes “moving” (Operating) and “living” in the fullest dynamic sense (Growing). John 5:17 (“my Father is working until now, and I am working”) establishes that the divine working is continuous and undischarged: the divine presence in the human creature is never finished, always generating New Love, New Light, New Science, New Sanctity, New Beauty.
Revelation 21:5 (“I am making all things new”) and 2 Corinthians 5:17 (“new creation”) provide the eschatological and present-experiential form of the continuous-newness: what Revelation promises cosmically is operative now in the corresponding soul, where the divine Operating-and-Growing Act never repeats itself but always produces something genuinely unprecedented.
Hogan’s pastoral application is illuminating: the soul under the divine rain of Creating/Conserving/Operating/Growing should be recognizably different — “I am not the person I was 10 years ago” — and this transformation is not the soul’s achievement but the evidence of the divine commerce operating within. The “commerce between heaven and earth” opened by the creature’s creation (Proverbs 8:30–31; 1 Corinthians 3:9) finds its most dynamic expression in the soul who corresponds: the traffic flows freely, the rain falls continuously, and the growing act never ceases.
Synthesis
Dominant biblical imagination: This entry operates throughout within the Johannine theology of mutual indwelling (John 14–17; 1 John 4; John 20:22) and the Pauline indwelling-transformation tradition (Galatians 2:20; Colossians 1:27; Romans 5:5; 8:26–27). The Wisdom tradition (Wisdom 7:22, 27; Proverbs 8:30–31; John 4:14; 7:38) undergirds the FSB-1 fecundity-and-generation movement. The Genesis-breath tradition (Genesis 2:7; Ezekiel 37; John 20:22) provides the foundational images for the divine Breath theology.
Most load-bearing traditions: Three traditions carry the entry’s structural weight. First, the divine-love-as-Substance tradition (1 John 4; Exodus 3:14; Deuteronomy 4:24) establishes the ontological basis: everything in God is love, and only love can dwell with love. Second, the bilocation-indwelling tradition (Colossians 1:27; John 14:23; Galatians 2:20; 1 Kings 8:27) grounds the entry’s most formally exclusive doctrinal claim: only God can bilocate-and-form-life, and this is the “greatest Prodigy.” Third, the Spirit-breath tradition (Genesis 2:7; John 20:22; Ezekiel 37; Romans 8:26–27) provides the mechanism: the divine love forms its life in the creature through Breath, and the creature’s ILY is the return-breath of what was first given.
Three findings of highest theological significance: First, the FSB-1 advance — “Our Divine Being is nothing other than a Substance all of love… Fecund… Generates continuously” — provides the clearest formal description yet of what the FSB-1 doctrine means by Substance: the divine Being is not a container of love but a love-generating spring, intrinsically fecund and circulatory, the Fount from which all creation’s love flows. Second, the ILY-1 disclosure that the creature’s “I love You” is God’s own Heartbeat — “your continuous ‘I love You’ is Ours” — is the most formally complete single statement of the ILY-1 exchange’s ontological structure: the creature does not contribute love from outside but breathes back the love that constituted her, so that the two ILYs become genuinely one. Third, the DVB-1 exclusivity-claim — “no one else… can boast” of bilocation — provides the most formally privileged single statement of the bilocation-prodigy in the corpus: the claim is stated as unique divine prerogative, grounded in the divine Being’s nature as Fullness and Totality, and distinguished categorically from everything any angel or saint could do.

FSB-1 probable second appearance — Substance-all-of-Love with Fecund/Generating mechanism: “Our Divine Being is nothing other than a Substance all of love… It is not a sterile love and Will, no, no! It is Fecund, and it Generates continuously. It is Operating, and inside of one single Breath of Love It forms the most Beautiful and Marvelous Works.” This constitutes the probable second FSB-1 appearance: the first appearance (June 29, 1932) introduced the Fount-and-Substance-of-the-Supreme-Being category; this entry advances it by disclosing the internal generative mechanism — the love-Substance is constitutively fecund and generating, directed by the divine Qualities (Light, Sanctity, Power, All-Seeingness, Immensity of Will). Registry verification required to confirm Active status.
ILY-1 major advance — creature’s ILY identified as God’s own Heartbeat: “your continuous ‘I love You’ is Ours. It is the Breath of Our Life, it is Our Heartbeat that does not know how to Palpitate other than ‘I Love you, I Love you, I Love you’… while We give you Love, you give Us love, and fused together Ours is woven with your ‘I love You’… one ‘I Love You’ alone is felt, while they are two.” This is the most formally complete single ILY-1 statement in the volumes processed: the creature’s ILY is disclosed as the return-form of God’s own Breath, and the two ILYs are named as genuinely fusing into one. The contrast with suffocating souls — “My Love gives and does not receive. And I Live in them with a Sorrowful and Delirious Love” — is a significant IAD-1 register.
DVB-1 advance — most formally exclusive bilocation statement: “no one else, for whatever love and power that he could have, can boast of saying: ‘I can Bilocate myself; and while I remain what I am, I can form another Life of mine inside of a person who I Love’… Neither Angel, nor Saint, has this Power, only your God, your Jesus has this Power, because Our Being is Fullness, is Totality.” This is the most formally exclusive single DVB-1 statement in the corpus: the bilocation-prodigy is named as unique divine prerogative and its ontological ground is stated explicitly — only a Being that is Fullness/Totality can bilocate without diminishment.
New register flagged — Four-Mode structure (Creating/Conserving/Operating/Growing): The entry formally distinguishes God’s presence in inanimate creation (Creating and Conserving only) from God’s presence in the human creature (Creating, Conserving, Operating, and Growing). This is a new formal register that may warrant its own tracking item.
