30-1932-04-09 Biblical Resonance Analysis

Volume 30 — April 9, 1932 “How Jesus keeps molding the creature in order to make her Rise Again in the New Life of His Truth. How Jesus alone could Manifest so many Truths on the Divine Will, as He possesses the Fount of them.”

STAGE ONE — Independent Biblical Identification

Sip-by-Sip Nourishment — The DW as Celestial Food Producing Strength, Light, and Sweetness

“I feel like the little girl who, sip by sip, is nourished with this Celestial food that produces in my soul Strength, Light, Indescribable Sweetness.”

Psalm 36:8 — “They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures.” — the image of interior delight flowing from the divine presence as a drink given from God’s own river corresponds directly to Luisa’s “Indescribable Sweetness”; the soul does not produce this nourishment but receives it as gift from the divine house. affective/meditative

1 Peter 2:2-3 — “as newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” — the “little newborn” receiving “sip by sip” nourishment from celestial food maps precisely onto Peter’s description of the neophyte soul drawing life from spiritual milk; Luisa’s language of the little girl nourished gradually is a mystical development of the same image. direct doctrinal parallel

Wisdom 16:20-21 — “Instead of these things, you gave your people angels’ food to eat, and you provided ready-to-eat bread for them from heaven without toil, having the virtue of every pleasant flavor, and agreeable to every taste. For your nature showed your sweetness toward your children, while that bread, serving the desire of the eater, changed itself according to every man’s choice.” — the manna-parallel illuminates the DW Truths as heavenly food: given without human toil, adapted to each individual soul’s capacity, producing strength and delight. typological

Psalm 34:8 — “Oh taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” — the experiential dimension of Luisa’s “Indescribable Sweetness” is precisely what David names as the ground of trust; the DW life is a life of tasting before anything else. affective/meditative

DW Truths Surpass All Created Gifts — Interior Penetration vs. Exterior Creation

“if Our Supreme Being gave to the creature all the heavens, the sun, the earth, the sea, He would not give as much as when He communicates the Truths on the Divine Will… the Truth penetrates into the inmost fibers of her soul… the heavens, the sun, the sea, do not have the Transforming Virtue of making of the creature a heaven, a sun, a sea”

Hebrews 4:12 — “For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” — the penetrating character of the divine word, reaching the inmost fibers of the soul with surgical precision, is the scriptural parallel to Jesus’ claim that Truth penetrates where creation cannot reach; the word is alive and acts from within. direct doctrinal parallel

2 Corinthians 4:6 — “seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” — the interior illumination that surpasses all external creation: the same God who made the sun shines inwardly, giving a light the sun cannot give. This is the theological basis for Jesus’ claim that Truth surpasses the gift of the heavens. direct doctrinal parallel

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 — “But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.” But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” — what creation cannot deliver to the eye or ear, the Spirit delivers to the interior; the limit of exterior creation corresponds to “all the Good is limited to the outside, and nothing more,” while the Spirit’s revelation is the DW Truth that penetrates inward. direct doctrinal parallel

John 17:17 — “Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth.” — sanctification through truth as an interior act; the sanctifying word does not remain at the level of external instruction but constitutes the soul from within, precisely because it is identified with God’s own self-communication. direct doctrinal parallel

Isaiah 55:10-11 (translation pending) — “my word… shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” — the word’s interior efficacy is the point: it does not pass by on the outside as the sun and sea pass, but accomplishes its purpose by entering and transforming. direct doctrinal parallel

Divine Molding — Prodigies of the Creation of Man Repeated

“I keep molding the heartbeats, the affections, the desires, the intellect, the memory, the will, to Transform her completely into the Life of the Truth. And as I go on molding her, I keep repeating the Prodigies of the Creation of Man, and by the touch of My Hands I destroy the seeds of evil, and I make the Seeds of the New Life Rise Again.”

Genesis 2:7 (CPDV) — “And then the Lord God formed man from the clay of the earth, and he breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul” — “repeating the Prodigies of the Creation of Man” is an explicit reference to this act; Jesus is re-enacting what God did at the first formation: shaping the creature by hand and breathing life into it. direct doctrinal parallel

Jeremiah 18:3-6 — “Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he was making something on the … as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.” — the potter-at-the-wheel image is the prophetic parallel to “I keep molding”: God shapes and reshapes the creature continuously, with sovereign freedom to destroy what is broken and reform. typological

Isaiah 64:8 — “But now, LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay and you our potter. We all are the work of your hand.” — the creature’s complete passivity before the divine Potter who alone forms the new life; the molding of heartbeats, affections, and will is Isaiah’s petition made present actuality. direct doctrinal parallel

2 Corinthians 3:18 — “But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” — the continuous character of transformation — “are being transformed,” present progressive — matches “I keep molding”; the transformation is not an event but an ongoing process from one degree to the next. direct doctrinal parallel

Colossians 3:9-10 — “Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,” — “destroy the seeds of evil / make the Seeds of New Life Rise Again” corresponds to this continuous renewal: the old self removed, the new self being formed after the image of the Creator — a re-creation. direct doctrinal parallel

Ephesians 4:22-24 — “that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.” — the destruction of evil-seeds and the raising of new-life seeds is the interior equivalent of what Paul describes as the daily pattern of the transformed life. direct doctrinal parallel

Job 10:8-9 — “‘Your hands have framed me and fashioned me altogether, yet you destroy me. Remember, I beg you, that you have fashioned me as clay. Will you bring me into dust again?” — God’s original fashioning of the creature is the precedent; the DW molding is its re-enactment: the same Hands that first formed the clay now reform it. typological

The DW Truths as Revealers and Messengers of the Supreme Being

“They Themselves have been the Revealers of the Supreme Being; I would never have known my Creator, my Celestial Father, if the Holy Truths had not acted as Messengers, bringing to me the many Beautiful News of His Adorable Majesty.”

John 1:18 — “No one has seen God at any time. The only born Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.” — Jesus as the one who makes the Father known is the basis for this movement; the DW Truths are extensions of the same revelatory act — the only Son making the Father known through his prolonged speaking to Luisa. Christological/Trinitarian

Matthew 11:27 — “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son and he to whom the Son desires to reveal him.” — the exclusive revelatory claim undergirds Jesus’ answer to Luisa’s doubt: only he could reveal these Truths because only he knows the Father from within; the DW Truths are the Father revealed through the Son’s exclusive knowledge. Christological/Trinitarian

1 Corinthians 2:10-11 — “But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit.” — only the divine Spirit can communicate divine depths; the DW Truths as Messengers of the Supreme Being presuppose this exclusive access. Christological/Trinitarian

John 16:13 — “However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.” — the Spirit of truth as the divine Guide into all truth parallels Jesus’ role in the entry as the one who possesses the Fount and reveals its drops; both are descriptions of the same interior revelatory movement. Christological/Trinitarian

Wisdom 7:17-22 — “For he himself gave me an unerring knowledge of the things … the natures of living creatures and the raging of wild beasts; … for wisdom, that is the architect of all things, taught me.” — the Wisdom who teaches all things from within divine knowledge corresponds to Jesus as the Fount of Truths; what Wisdom taught Solomon is analogous to what Jesus communicates to Luisa — knowledge inaccessible by any exterior means. typological

Only Jesus Possesses the Fount — Prolixity as Proof of Divine Origin

“possessing the Fount of Them, it is no wonder that I Manifested to you, and in many ways, the little drops of Light… the mere prolixity and My so much Speaking is the surest and most convincing proof that only your Jesus could have so many reasons… the enemy does not possess the Fount… your fantasy, so limited and small—O! how quickly would the Light of reason remain extinguished”

John 4:14 — “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” — Jesus as the inexhaustible Fount: the water he gives wells up from within because he is himself the source; possessing the Fount means the Truths cannot run dry. direct doctrinal parallel

Sirach 24:30-31 — “I came out as a canal stream from a river, and as an irrigation ditch into a garden. I said, “I will water my garden, and will drench my garden bed.” Behold, my stream became a river, and my river became a sea.” — Wisdom’s water increasing from canal to river to sea as it flows out corresponds to Jesus’ image: what are drops for him become seas for the creature; inexhaustibility characterizes the divine Fount. typological

Deuteronomy 18:21-22 — “You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?” When a prophet speaks in the LORD’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.” — the criterion for distinguishing true from false prophecy is here extended: the sustained coherence and continued fruitfulness of the DW Truths over decades, on a single inexhaustible subject, is the divine authentication. direct doctrinal parallel

Isaiah 44:25 — “who frustrates the signs of the liars, and makes diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;” — the enemy cannot produce what God produces; his signs are frustrated and reversed; the DW Truths stand because God sustains them and the enemy, who hates the DW, is constitutionally incapable of producing them. direct doctrinal parallel

John 7:46 — “The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this man!” — the spontaneous human acknowledgment of the authority unique to Jesus’ speech; what the officers said of Jesus’ earthly teaching, the intellect must say of the DW Truths: no one else has ever spoken like this, with this depth, variety, and sustained power. direct doctrinal parallel

The Word Ever New / Here Is the Finger of God

“only your Jesus has the Word ever New, Penetrating, full of Divine Freshness, of admirable Sweetness, of surprising Truth, such that the human intellect is forced to lower its forehead and say: ‘Here there is the Finger of God.‘”

Hebrews 4:12 The living and active word returns here at fuller weight: “living and active” is precisely the “ever New, Penetrating” quality; the word does not grow stale because it participates in the divine life that is always present. direct doctrinal parallel

Lamentations 3:22-23 — “It is because of the LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.” — “new every morning” as the pattern of divine inexhaustibility; the Word ever New draws on the same divine attribute of constant renewal that Lamentations names as mercy and faithfulness. direct doctrinal parallel

Exodus 8:19 — “Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is God’s finger;” but Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as the LORD had spoken.” — the “Finger of God” in Luisa’s entry is a direct citation of this recognition by Pharaoh’s magicians: those who themselves dealt in signs and wonders were forced to acknowledge that what they witnessed exceeded all human or demonic capacity. The DW Truths produce the same forced recognition. direct doctrinal parallel

Luke 11:20 — “But if I by God’s finger cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come to you.” — Jesus’ own use of the “Finger of God” phrase ties the recognition directly to the Kingdom’s coming; the DW Truths that elicit “Here there is the Finger of God” thus signal the Kingdom of the Divine Will. Christological/Trinitarian

Matthew 7:28-29 — “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.” — the astonishment before Jesus’ speech as the experiential recognition of divine authority; Luisa’s formulation that the intellect is “forced to lower its forehead” is the inward equivalent of the crowd’s external astonishment. affective/meditative

STAGE TWO — Comparison with Hogan’s Commentary

CORRESPONDENCES

Psalm 36:8-9 — both Stage One and Hogan identify this Psalm for the indescribable sweetness / torrents of delight. Hogan cites the verse as Psalm 36:9; see DEVIATIONS below.

Philippians 1:6 — both identify the God-completing-what-he-begins principle for the continuous divine molding; Hogan cites it explicitly, Stage One holds it as the governing premise behind Colossians 3:9-10.

John 14:6 — Hogan cites “I am the way, the truth, and the life” for the identification of Jesus with Truth itself as the basis for the transformation-into-the-life-of-Truth; Stage One reaches the same identification through John 17:17, approaching from the sanctification side rather than the ontological.

Hebrews 4:12 — both identify this as the anchor for the word’s penetrating power and the “Word ever New”; Hogan cites it explicitly for the prolixity/proof-of-divine-origin section.

Exodus 8:19 — both identify the “Finger of God” reference; both confirm its origin in the Pharaoh narrative.

Luke 11:20 — both identify Jesus’ own “Finger of God” saying; Hogan makes the explicit connection to kingdom-coming.

John 8:32 — Hogan cites this for the truth-sets-you-free principle applied to transformation through truth; see DEVIATIONS on citation numbering.

DEVIATIONS

Psalm 36 verse number: Hogan cites “Psalm 36 verse 9” for “You let them drink from the torrents of your delight.” In standard RSV/ESV/NAB versification, the drinking-from-delights verse is Psalm 36:8, while Psalm 36:9 reads “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.” Both verses are relevant, and the versification difference may reflect inclusion or exclusion of the Psalm heading as verse 1 in different editions. Stage One cites Psalm 36:8 as the closer parallel to the delight-drinking image. See citation note below.

John 8:31 vs. 8:32: Hogan cites “John 8, 31, that the truth will set you free.” The verse “the truth will set you free” is John 8:32, not 8:31. John 8:31 reads: “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples.” Both verses are contextually part of the same teaching unit, but the specific formulation Hogan cites belongs to 8:32. See citation correction below.

John 14:6 vs. John 17:17: Hogan approaches the transformation-into-truth through John 14:6 (“I am the truth”) — the ontological identification of Jesus with Truth. Stage One approaches it through John 17:17 (“your word is truth”) — the sanctifying operation of truth. These are genuinely complementary angles: Hogan’s is Christological (Jesus is the Truth, so transformation into the life of Truth is transformation into Jesus), while Stage One’s is pneumatological-liturgical (the word sanctifies by entering and acting). Together they illuminate the fullness of the movement.

ADDITIONS — HERS

  • Psalm 36:9 — “fountain of life; in your light we see light” — connects the sweetness and delight to the fountain-of-life image, which anticipates the Fount of Truths movement later in the entry. This verse (Hogan’s citation) may be the more theologically load-bearing of the two adjacent verses, as it names the Source from which the delight flows.
  • John 14:6 — “I am the way, the truth, and the life” — the ontological grounding of transformation into the life of Truth in Jesus’ identity as the Truth itself; without this anchor, the transformation-into-Truth movement lacks its Christological basis.
  • John 8:32 — “the truth will set you free” — the liberating function of truth applied to the molding movement: transformation through truth produces interior freedom as its signature effect.
  • Philippians 4:13 (implicit in Hogan’s application) — the creature’s empowerment through Christ as the subject-side of the transformation.

CITATION CORRECTIONS

Citation correction: Hogan’s “John 8, 31, that the truth will set you free” corrected to John 8:32. John 8:31 is “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples”; the “the truth will set you free” formulation is John 8:32. Off-by-one verse error within the same teaching unit.

Note on Psalm 36:8 vs. 36:9: Hogan cites Psalm 36:9 for “You let them drink from the torrents of your delight.” In RSV/ESV versification, the drinking-from-delights verse is 36:8; Psalm 36:9 reads “with you is the fountain of life.” The discrepancy may reflect a versification difference between editions that include or exclude the Psalm heading as verse 1. Not logged as a formal correction given the versification ambiguity, but the drinking image belongs to 36:8 in standard editions.

VIP / SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS

No VIP designation by Hogan for this entry.

STAGE TWO SYNTHESIS

The entry draws on two interlocking scriptural traditions that correspond to its two structural movements. The transformation-through-interior-penetration tradition — Hebrews 4:12, Genesis 2:7, Jeremiah 18, Isaiah 64:8, 2 Corinthians 3:18 — provides the scriptural architecture for the molding movement; the living word reaching the inmost fibers is the Hebrews 4:12 principle made specific in the potter imagery. The exclusive divine knowledge tradition — John 1:18, Matthew 11:27, 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, Deuteronomy 18:21-22 — supplies the authentication argument: only the one who possesses the Fount can speak inexhaustibly on what only God knows. Hogan adds the essential Christological anchor (John 14:6 — Jesus is the Truth) and connects the Finger of God to Luke 11:20 (the Kingdom has come upon you); Stage One provides the structural and prophetic depth across both movements. The entry’s most theologically charged moment is the Finger of God recognition: Hogan’s identification of Luke 11:20 as its scriptural ground binds the prolixity-proof to the Kingdom’s arrival — the DW Truths that force the “Finger of God” recognition are themselves the signal that the Kingdom of the Divine Will is breaking in.

Cross-Entry Synthesis

Volume 30 — April 9, 1932 “How Jesus keeps molding the creature in order to make her Rise Again in the New Life of His Truth. How Jesus alone could Manifest so many Truths on the Divine Will, as He possesses the Fount of them.”

STAGE THREE — Cross-Entry Synthesis

Sip-by-Sip Nourishment — The DW as Celestial Food

Luisa’s brief opening image — the little girl nourished sip by sip — draws both citation streams toward the nourishment tradition, though with different emphases. Hogan concentrates on Psalm 36:9 (“the fountain of life / in your light we see light”) as the theological source from which the delight flows, and places Luisa’s “Indescribable Sweetness” within the larger pattern of the victim-soul’s interior joy sustaining what exterior suffering cannot extinguish. Stage One approaches through the nourishment side: 1 Peter 2:2-3 (the newborn soul on spiritual milk), Wisdom 16:20-21 (heavenly food adapted to every taste and given without toil), and Psalm 34:8 (tasting and seeing). The two streams are complementary in their emphasis: Hogan illuminates the Source (fountain of life), while Stage One illuminates the mode of reception (sip-by-sip, like an infant). Both converge on the structural point that the creature cannot “take it in gulps” — the DW life is an incremental nourishment from an inexhaustible divine source.

DW Truths Surpass All Created Gifts — Interior Penetration vs. Exterior Creation

This is the entry’s first formal peak, and the combined analysis reveals it to be grounded primarily in Hebrews 4:12 (identified by both streams) and 2 Corinthians 4:6 (Stage One). The argument Jesus makes — that the gift of DW Truths surpasses the gift of all creation because creation remains exterior while Truth penetrates the inmost fibers — is the scriptural logic of these two texts made explicit. Hebrews 4:12 provides the mechanism: the word of God is alive and active, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, while the sun and sea, however vast, cannot reach this depth. Second Corinthians 4:6 provides the Trinitarian grounding: the same God who said “let there be light” now shines inwardly to give the light of the knowledge of his glory — an interior act of the same omnipotence that produced the sun, but operating at a level no created thing can reach.

Stage One adds 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 as the structural complement: what eye has not seen and ear has not heard corresponds precisely to “all the Good is limited to the outside” for created things, while the Spirit’s interior revelation corresponds to the DW Truth’s penetrating action. John 17:17 (“sanctify them in the truth”) adds the sanctifying dimension: Truth does not merely inform but reconstitutes the soul from within. Together, these passages confirm that Jesus’ claim is not hyperbole but a statement of how divine communication works differently from created mediation — it operates at the level of cause rather than occasion.

Divine Molding — Prodigies of the Creation of Man Repeated

Both streams identify the continuous-transformation character of this movement, though they approach from different directions. Hogan’s primary anchor is John 14:6 (“I am the truth”) — if Jesus is the Truth, then transformation into the life of the Truth is transformation into Jesus himself, and the daily molding is the progressive actualization of Galatians 2:20 (“Christ lives in me”). Stage One adds the prophetic-potter tradition — Genesis 2:7, Jeremiah 18:3-6, Isaiah 64:8, Job 10:8-9 — as the OT foundation: “repeating the Prodigies of the Creation of Man” is an explicit reference to the Genesis 2 formation act, and Jesus is now re-enacting it with the same hands. The combined picture is of a re-creation that is both Christological (transformation into the life of the Truth = into Christ) and cosmogonic (the original making of the creature by God’s hands is being done again, this time with the seeds of evil destroyed and the seeds of new life raised).

Second Corinthians 3:18 (“being transformed from one degree of glory to another”) provides the temporal dimension both streams approach: the transformation is not instantaneous but progressive, from degree to degree, as the molding continues. Colossians 3:9-10 and Ephesians 4:22-24 supply the death-and-resurrection pattern that Hogan identifies explicitly: the destruction of evil-seeds is the daily dying of the old self; the raising of new-life seeds is the daily resurrection into the new self created after God’s likeness. The combined analysis confirms this as an ADG-1 register: the creature is being reformed to the fullness of what Adam possessed before the Fall, and more.

The DW Truths as Revealers and Messengers of the Supreme Being

This movement draws out the revelatory dimension latent in the transformation movement: Luisa recognizes that she would never have known her Creator without the DW Truths acting as Messengers. Both streams converge on the Johannine axis: John 1:18 (no one has seen God; the only Son makes him known) as the basis for Jesus’ unique capacity to reveal. Stage One adds the exclusive-knowledge triad — Matthew 11:27, 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, John 16:13 — as the formal theological framework: the Father is known only to the Son, the depths of God only to the Spirit, and both reveal through the DW Truths as their medium. Wisdom 7:17-22 adds the sapiential tradition: Wisdom as teacher of all things from within divine knowledge, given to the one chosen by God. Hogan does not address this movement separately but makes the point pastorally: the DW Truths reveal God in a way the whole 2,000-year-old church with all its theologians and mystics had not yet achieved — a recognition of the unique gift’s magnitude rather than its scriptural structure.

Only Jesus Possesses the Fount — Prolixity as Proof of Divine Origin

The entry’s second formal peak draws the combined analysis toward the authentication tradition. Both streams agree that Hebrews 4:12 anchors the “Word ever New, Penetrating” quality; beyond this, the streams diverge productively. Hogan focuses on the sociological argument: no uneducated woman could have produced 36 volumes of coherent, varied, and theologically inexhaustible material on a single subject — the prolixity itself is the authentication. Stage One adds the formal theological structure: Deuteronomy 18:21-22 (the true prophet’s word comes true and bears fruit over time), John 7:46 (“no one ever spoke like this man”), and Isaiah 44:25 (God alone produces genuine revelation; the enemy’s signs are frustrated). Together, both the sociological and the theological arguments converge on the same conclusion: what is described as “drops” for Jesus but “seas” for the creature testifies to the divine Fount — John 4:14 (“the water I give becomes a spring welling up to eternal life”) is the Johannine image for the inexhaustibility that the prolixity demonstrates.

The enemy’s relationship to the DW Truths — that he cannot even touch them without being burned, and would destroy them if he could — is confirmed on both sides: Hogan from the pastoral observation that any serious engagement with the DW material provokes diabolical opposition; Stage One from Isaiah 44:25 (the enemy’s counterfeits are frustrated) and the formal logic of the DW Truth’s interior quality (the devil, possessing no fount, could speak two or three reasons and would fall silent, as Jesus says).

The Word Ever New / Here Is the Finger of God

Both streams recognize the Exodus 8:19 anchor and the Luke 11:20 parallel; Hogan makes the latter connection explicit and precise. The combined analysis reveals the theological weight of the “Finger of God” recognition in the entry: it is not merely a rhetorical climax but a formal claim about the Kingdom. In Luke 11:20, Jesus ties the Finger of God to the Kingdom of God having “come upon you” — the recognition that what is witnessed is divinely caused is simultaneously the recognition that the Kingdom has arrived. Hogan names this connection directly. Stage One adds Lamentations 3:22-23 (“new every morning”) as the ATF-1 anchor for “the Word ever New”: the divine word participates in the divine attribute of constant renewal, never exhausting itself, never repeating what is already known — because the Fount is inexhaustible. Matthew 7:28-29 adds the parallel from Jesus’ own earthly teaching: the crowds’ astonishment at his authority is the outward form of what the intellect’s “lowering its forehead” is in the interior register.

The combined analysis confirms that the “Finger of God” recognition functions in this entry as the culmination of the entire authentication argument: the DW Truths produce a forced intellectual acknowledgment that exceeds all human or diabolical capacity for explanation, and that forced acknowledgment is itself a sign of the Kingdom’s breaking in.

Synthesis Conclusion

Dominant biblical imagination: The entry is governed by two interlocking traditions: the transformation-through-interior-penetration tradition (Hebrews 4:12 as axis, with the potter imagery and the new-creation texts) and the exclusive divine revelation tradition (John 1:18 and Matthew 11:27 as axis, with the inexhaustible Fount texts). Together they produce the entry’s central claim: because Jesus is the Truth himself (John 14:6) and possesses the Fount of all truth about his own Will, his prolonged speaking to Luisa is simultaneously the most penetrating formation of the creature and the most irrefutable proof of its divine origin.

Most load-bearing traditions: (1) Hebrews 4:12 — the living, active, penetrating word — which supplies the mechanism for both the interior transformation and the authentication argument. (2) The potter tradition — Genesis 2:7, Jeremiah 18, Isaiah 64:8 — which gives the molding movement its OT depth and confirms that Jesus is “repeating the Prodigies of the Creation of Man” in the precise sense of the Genesis act. (3) The exclusive-Fount tradition — John 1:18, Matthew 11:27, John 4:14 — which grounds the prolixity-proof in the divine nature: only the one who is the Source can speak inexhaustibly on what only he knows.

Findings of most theological significance: First, the combination of ATF-1 and CWD-1 is formally active in this entry in a new register: the DW Truths are “ever New” because the Fount is infinite (ATF-1), and they surpass all created gifts precisely because they penetrate where creation cannot reach (CWD-1 — the value of the writings exceeds the value of all creation as mediated gift). Second, the Finger of God recognition, identified by Hogan’s Luke 11:20 connection, ties the authentication argument directly to the Kingdom’s arrival: when the intellect is forced to acknowledge the divine origin of the DW Truths, it is simultaneously acknowledging the Kingdom of the Divine Will breaking in. Third, the potter-and-clay tradition anchors the molding movement in the Creation narrative itself — Jesus is not merely improving Luisa but re-enacting Genesis 2:7, repeating the originating divine formation with the explicit goal of raising new-life seeds where evil-seeds once grew.

CWD-1 advance — DW Truths surpass all of creation as gift: “if Our Supreme Being gave to the creature all the heavens, the sun, the earth, the sea, He would not give as much as when He communicates the Truths on the Divine Will.” This is a new formal CWD-1 register distinct from the March 27 Weapons/Net/Offices advance: the supreme value of the DW Truths is argued not from their role in the Kingdom’s formation but from their mode of operation — creation remains exterior and transforms nothing, while Truth penetrates the inmost fibers and transforms the creature into a heaven, a sun, a sea. The most formally comparative statement of the Truths’ surpassing value relative to created gifts.

NDW-1 advance — Fount of Truths / inexhaustible-drops-from-infinite-sea: “possessing the Fount of Them, it is no wonder that I Manifested to you… the little drops of Light of the Knowledges on My Adorable Will. I say drops for Me, compared to the much and to the Infinite Sea that I can still say.” Jesus identifies himself as the exclusive possessor of the divine Fount from which the DW Truths proceed; what are “drops” for him become “seas” for the creature. The Fount image is new in the corpus and provides a formal NDW-1 anchor: Jesus’ capacity to speak inexhaustibly on the DW is grounded in his unique possession of the divine source. Relevant to NDW-1 scope review: the revelatory function of Jesus as Fount goes beyond narration or description toward the exclusive ontological sourcing of the DW Truths themselves.

ATF-1 advance — “the Word ever New, Penetrating, full of Divine Freshness”: Explicit ATF-1 register: the DW Truths are always fresh, always new, always penetrating — not because they are novel information but because the divine Fount is inexhaustible and the Word participates in the divine attribute of constant renewal. Anchored in Lamentations 3:22-23 (“new every morning”) and Hebrews 4:12 (“living and active”).

Finger of God — Kingdom-signal confirmed: Hogan’s explicit connection of “Here there is the Finger of God” to Luke 11:20 (“if it is by the Finger of God that I cast out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you”) is the most theologically significant Stage Two finding in this entry. The DW Truths that force the “Finger of God” recognition are thus simultaneously a signal of the Kingdom’s arrival — the forced acknowledgment is itself a Kingdom-coming event.
