11-1916-08-12 Biblical Resonance Analysis
Volume 11 — August 12, 1916 “Glory of the souls who will live in the Divine Will on earth.”
STAGE ONE — INDEPENDENT BIBLICAL IDENTIFICATION
Repaid for Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification
“Only by one who lives in my Will do I feel as though repaid for Creation, Redemption and Sanctification, and she glorifies Me in the way in which the creature must glorify Me.”
Colossians 1:15–20 — “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things are held together. He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence. For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him, and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.” The three acts named — Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification — map onto the Christological triad Paul traces: Christ as the agent of creation, the head of the new creation through resurrection, and the one through whom reconciliation (the work of sanctifying grace) extends to all things. The DW soul who lives in the Will “reprises” these three acts, providing a creaturely response commensurate with their scope. Direct doctrinal parallel
Romans 11:36 — “For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.” The three prepositions — from him (Creation), through him (Redemption), to him (Sanctification as the return of all to the divine source) — map onto the three acts the DW soul repays. The complete trinitarian arc requires a creaturely response for its fulfillment as glorification; the DW soul provides that response. Direct doctrinal parallel
John 17:4 — “I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.” Jesus’s own glorification of the Father through accomplished work is the Christological model the DW soul replicates: she glorifies God “in the way in which the creature must glorify Me” — the DW providing the creaturely register of the same glorification Christ gave in the divine-human register. Direct doctrinal parallel
Ephesians 1:3–6 — “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love, having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire, to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved.” The entire trinitarian economy of election (Creation), redemption (Redemption), and holiness (Sanctification) ordered to the praise of the divine glory — the DW soul as the creaturely instrument through whom this praise reaches its intended completeness. Direct doctrinal parallel
Gems of the Throne: Encompassing All the Blesseds’ Contentments
“These souls will be the gems of my throne and will take within themselves all the contentments and the glory which each Blessed will have for himself alone.”
Revelation 4:2–3 — “Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne that looked like a jasper stone and a sardius. There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald to look at.” The throne surrounded by precious stones — the DW souls as gems within this throne-setting, the specific stones of the Apocalyptic vision finding their creaturely counterpart in the souls whose fidelity adorns the divine throne. Typological
Isaiah 62:3 — “You will also be a crown of beauty in the LORD’s hand, and a royal diadem in your God’s hand.” The soul as crown-jewel in God’s own hand — the gem imagery is the Isaiah background for “gems of my throne.” The crown held by the LORD is the throne adorned by the DW souls. Typological
Malachi 3:17 — “They shall be mine,” says the LORD of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.” The DW souls as the divine “segullāh” — special treasured possession — beyond all others, the gems gathered for the day of the Lord. Direct doctrinal parallel
1 Corinthians 2:9 — “But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.” The “all the contentments and the glory which each Blessed will have for himself alone” — encompassed within a single soul — exceeds all creaturely imagination. The DW soul’s capacity to hold all heavenly contentments simultaneously is the eschatological realization of what 1 Corinthians 2:9 names as the prepared inheritance. Direct doctrinal parallel
Ephesians 3:19 — “and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” The filling with all the divine fullness is precisely the ground of taking within oneself all the contentments of all the Blessed: what each Blessed has singly, the DW soul encompasses because she is filled with the fullness from which all blessedness derives. Direct doctrinal parallel
Queens Around the Throne
“These souls will be as though queens around my throne, and all the Blessed will be around them.”
Song of Songs 6:8–9 — “There are sixty queens, eighty concubines, and virgins without number. My dove, my perfect one, is unique. She is her mother’s only daughter. She is the favorite one of her who bore her. The daughters saw her, and called her blessed. The queens and the concubines saw her, and they praised her.” The Canticle’s royal-court hierarchy — the unique Bride surrounded by the queens and concubines — provides the structural image. The Blessed Mother is the only perfect dove; the DW souls are the queens; the other Blessed are the court around them. Typological
Psalm 45:9, 13–14 — “Kings’ daughters are among your honorable women. At your right hand the queen stands in gold of Ophir. The princess inside is all glorious. Her clothing is interwoven with gold. She shall be led to the king in embroidered work. The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to you.” The royal bridal imagery of the queen in gold at the king’s right hand — the DW souls as queens whose glory is not external (the Blessed as suns shining around them) but interior (shining within the divine Sun). Typological
Revelation 4:4 — “Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads.” The enthroned elders with golden crowns seated around the divine throne — the eschatological image of the queens around the throne. Typological
Revelation 21:24 — “The nations will walk in its light. The kings of the earth bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.” The kings bringing their glory into the New Jerusalem from all nations — the Blessed “around them” in their glory, the DW souls at the center as the queens whose own glory is the Sun’s own light. Typological
Suns and the Sun: The Eschatological Distinction
“Just as the Blessed will be as many suns that will shine in the Celestial Jerusalem, the souls who have lived in my Will will shine in my own Sun. They will be as though circumfused with my Sun, and these souls will see the Blessed from within Me.”
Matthew 13:43 — “Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” All the righteous shining like the sun — the Blessed as “many suns” in the Celestial Jerusalem. The DW souls are not suns in this sense but within the Sun — a categorically different eschatological position. Direct doctrinal parallel
Revelation 21:23 — “The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it and its lamp is the Lamb.” The New Jerusalem’s light is the divine glory itself — the Lamb as the light-source. The Blessed shine as derivative suns within this light; the DW souls are circumfused with the source-light itself, dwelling within the Sun that illuminates all others. Direct doctrinal parallel
Daniel 12:3 — “Those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse. Those who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.” The graduated eschatological brilliance — stars, sky — finds its summit in the entry’s hierarchy: the Blessed as many suns; the DW souls as those who shine in the original Sun from which all other suns receive their light. Typological
Malachi 4:2 — “But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.” The Sun of Righteousness — the divine Sun rising — is the very Sun within which the DW souls are “circumfused.” They dwell inside the risen Sun of Righteousness, not merely beneath its rays. Typological
Wisdom 7:26 — “For she is a reflection of everlasting light, an unspotted mirror of the working of God, and an image of his goodness.” The soul as the perfect mirror of the divine light — the NGP-1 crystallization imagery at its eschatological consummation: the DW souls, made by grace what Christ is by nature (perfect reflectors of the divine light), are in heaven not reflectors from outside but radiators from within the source. Direct doctrinal parallel
2 Corinthians 3:18 — “But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” The transformation from glory to glory reaches its eschatological terminus here: the “one degree of glory” process culminating in the soul being circumfused with the original Glory itself, no longer beholding from outside but shining from within. Direct doctrinal parallel
Seeing the Blessed From Within Jesus
“These souls will see the Blessed from within Me, because it is right that, having lived on earth united with Me, with my Will, as they lived no life of their own, they have a place distinct from all others in Heaven.”
John 17:21–24 — “that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me. The glory which you have given me, I have given to them, that they may be one, even as we are one, I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one, that the world may know that you sent me and loved them, even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.” The eschatological fulfillment of the High-Priestly Prayer: the DW souls are “in us” — in the Father and the Son — and see from the vantage point of where Jesus himself is. Not seeing him from outside but being where he is and seeing what he sees from within his own perspective. Direct doctrinal parallel
1 John 3:2 — “Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.” The seeing “as he is” — from his own side — is the eschatological vision the DW soul’s seeing-from-within Jesus enacts. Not the mediated vision of other Blessed but the immediate vision from within the divine subject. Direct doctrinal parallel
1 Corinthians 13:12 — “For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.” The DW soul’s seeing-from-within-Jesus is the maximum realization of the face-to-face knowing: not merely seeing him as he is but knowing from within the knowing-subject himself. Direct doctrinal parallel
Distinct Place; Continuing Heaven the Life Lived on Earth
“They have a place distinct from all others in Heaven, and they continue in Heaven the life which they lived on earth — completely transformed in Me and immersed in the sea of my contentments.”
John 14:2–3 — “In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.” The “place prepared” for each soul is specifically the place consonant with the life lived. The DW soul’s place — circumfused with the divine Sun, seeing the Blessed from within Jesus — is the place prepared for one who lived no life of her own. Direct doctrinal parallel
Revelation 14:4 — “These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.” The firstfruits who follow the Lamb wherever he goes — not to a fixed position but sharing his own movement and location. The DW souls’ distinct place is constituted not by a particular coordinate in heaven but by the Lamb’s own position. Typological
Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.” The eschatological completion of the Galatian identification: “as they lived no life of their own” on earth, in heaven they “continue in heaven the life they lived on earth — completely transformed in Me.” The crucifixion-with-Christ finds its heavenly consummation in the complete transformation. Direct doctrinal parallel
2 Corinthians 3:18 (paraphrase) — The glory-to-glory transformation reaching its terminus: completely transformed into the same image, the veiled face now permanently unveiled and shining within the Sun. Direct doctrinal parallel
Ephesians 3:19 — “and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” The immersion in the sea of contentments is the fullness of God filling the soul who on earth had been emptied of her own will to be filled with his. Direct doctrinal parallel
STAGE TWO — COMPARISON WITH HOGAN’S COMMENTARY
CORRESPONDENCES
Both streams identify Revelation 21–22 (the New Jerusalem where the Lamb is the light) as the structural eschatological frame for the Blessed-as-suns / DW-souls-in-the-Sun distinction. Both recognize the Song of Songs royal-court imagery (queens and the chosen bride) as the Canticle background for “queens around his throne.” Both recognize that the DW souls’ seeing-from-within-Jesus is the eschatological completion of the Will-union lived on earth. Both identify the three terms (Creation, Redemption, Sanctification) as the Three Fiats — Stage One supplies the Pauline-Johannine scriptural architecture; Hogan supplies the explicit identification. Both note Daniel 12:3 and Matthew 13:43 as the shining-like-the-sun eschatological background.
DEVIATIONS
Hogan reads the queens primarily through Song of Songs 6:8–9 (sixty queens; the unique bride being the Blessed Mother with DW souls as her companion-queens). Stage One develops the same passage but supplements with Psalm 45:9, 13–14 (the queen in gold at the king’s right hand) and Revelation 4:4 (the enthroned elders with crowns). Hogan’s emphasis on Blessed Mother as the supreme queen and DW souls as her companions provides the Marian register Stage One does not develop — a framing consonant with the DW-MARY-1 arc.
Stage One develops the three-acts passage through Colossians 1:15–20 and Romans 11:36 as the scriptural ground for the Creation-Redemption-Sanctification triad. Hogan identifies the triad as “the three fiats” without citing specific texts. The two streams are convergent; Stage One supplies the scriptural architecture Hogan names only by the theological label.
ADDITIONS — MINE
- Colossians 1:15–20 — Christ as agent of all three acts (Creation, firstborn of new creation, reconciliation) as the scriptural ground of the triad

- 1 Corinthians 13:12 — “then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known” as the maximum register of the seeing-from-within
- Revelation 14:4 — firstfruits following the Lamb wherever he goes as the DW souls’ distinct place
ADDITIONS — HERS
Hogan supplies the parent-child reward analogy for “repaid” — a parent feeling repaid not in money but in love and gratitude, making the labor feel worthwhile. She identifies the Blessed Mother as the supreme queen (the “only one” of Song of Songs 6:9) with DW souls as her companion-queens — a DW-MARY-1 connection Stage One does not develop. Her note that the DW souls’ “distinct place” is a theme Jesus “comes back to many, many times as we go from here to the 36 volumes” is a significant forward bridge: the distinct-place doctrine will receive sustained elaboration through the higher volumes. Her practical framing — “is there anything at the other end of the line? Is it all give, give, give?” — presents the entry as the answer to that question, directing the entry’s doctrinal content toward the pastoral register of reward-for-fidelity.
VIP / SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS
Hogan uses elevated attention language — “really watch this one” — but does not deploy the formal “#vip” marker. No VIP designation for this entry.
STAGE TWO SYNTHESIS
The two reading streams converge strongly on the Sun-vs-suns eschatological distinction as the entry’s doctrinal summit, and on the Song of Songs royal-court imagery as the Marian-theological frame. Hogan’s parent-child reward analogy and forward bridge to higher volumes add pastoral and eschatological scope. Stage One supplies the systematic scriptural architecture across the four movements. The entry is the most comprehensive eschatological-glory disclosure for DW souls in Volume 11, and its TGF-1 significance (the three acts named as the Three Fiats) is confirmed by Hogan’s explicit identification.
Cross-Entry Synthesis
Volume 11 — August 12, 1916 “Glory of the souls who will live in the Divine Will on earth.”
Cross-Entry Synthesis
The entry is the most comprehensive eschatological-glory disclosure of the DW soul in Volume 11 and among the most concentrated in the entire corpus to this point. Four doctrinal registers operate simultaneously: the three-acts repayment (TGF-1 approach); the gems-and-queens heavenly position; the Sun-vs-suns eschatological distinction (NGP-1 consummation); and the distinct place with its continuation of the DW life into heaven.
Repaid for Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification: TGF-1 Approach
“Only by one who lives in my Will do I feel as though repaid for Creation, Redemption and Sanctification.” Hogan’s identification is explicit: “that’s the three fiats.” Colossians 1:15–20 (Christ as agent of creation, new creation, and reconciliation) and Romans 11:36 (from him, through him, to him — the Pauline triad) together constitute the scriptural architecture of the three acts. John 17:4 (Jesus glorifying the Father through accomplished work) provides the Christological model the DW soul replicates: she glorifies God “in the way in which the creature must glorify Me” because her fidelity to the Will provides the creaturely register of the same glorification Christ gave in the divine-human register.
The three-acts content is unambiguously present: Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification are the totality of what the DW soul’s fidelity repays. The diary text does not use “fiat” for each act, and the formal Three-Fiat framework disclosure remains outstanding — but the content the framework carries is here named and identified. TGF-1 advances to its nearest diary-text approximation.
Gems and Queens: The Heavenly Position
“Gems of my throne” — Revelation 4:2–3 (the gem-studded throne), Isaiah 62:3 (crown of beauty in God’s hand), and Malachi 3:17 (the divine segullāh) together establish the throne-adornment imagery. The gems are not external ornaments but the souls themselves as the specific adornment of the divine throne — a structural presence rather than a decorative one.
“Queens around my throne” — Song of Songs 6:8–9 (sixty queens surrounding the unique bride) provides the Canticle royal-court frame. Hogan identifies Blessed Mother as the unique bride; the DW souls are the companion-queens; all other Blessed are the wider court. Psalm 45:9, 13–14 and Revelation 4:4 supply the Apocalyptic-wisdom ground for the queens’ enthroned position. The DW souls encompass within themselves all the contentments each Blessed has for himself alone — Ephesians 3:19 (filled with all the fullness of God) explains why: the one filled with divine fullness can encompass the fullness of each particular blessing.
The Sun-vs-Suns Distinction: NGP-1 at Eschatological Consummation
This is the entry’s doctrinal summit. Matthew 13:43 (the righteous shining like the sun) and Revelation 21:23 (the Lamb as the light of the New Jerusalem) establish the two poles: all the Blessed shine as derivative suns within the divine light; the DW souls are circumfused with the source-Sun itself, dwelling within it, seeing the Blessed from within Jesus.
The distinction is categorical, not merely quantitative: the Blessed receive the Sun’s light and radiate it. The DW souls are where the light originates — they are inside the radiance rather than illuminated by it. John 17:21–24 is the theological ground: “that they may be in us… where I am.” The DW soul’s seeing-from-within-Jesus is the eschatological realization of the High-Priestly Prayer: not being with Jesus in the same place but being where he is, seeing what he sees, knowing as he knows (1 Corinthians 13:12).
NGP-1 reaches its eschatological consummation here. The nature-grace parallel — made by grace what Christ is by nature — has been tracked from its first statement (“impeccable, etc.,” March 17, 1914) through the crystallization visual register (January 30, 1916). In heaven the crystalline perfect reflector does not merely mirror the divine Sun; she is circumfused with it. Wisdom 7:26 (the soul as reflection of eternal light) and Malachi 4:2 (the Sun of Righteousness rising) together frame the terminus: the soul who became a perfect reflection on earth dwells within the source of all reflection in heaven.
The Distinct Place and the Continuation of the DW Life
“They continue in Heaven the life which they lived on earth — completely transformed in Me and immersed in the sea of my contentments.” Galatians 2:20 (no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me) reaches its heavenly completion: the earth-life of no-life-of-one’s-own becomes the heaven-life of complete transformation in Jesus. John 14:2–3 (the prepared place) provides the structural frame: the place prepared is precisely the place consonant with the life lived. Revelation 14:4 (the firstfruits following the Lamb wherever he goes) names the DW soul’s heavenly mobility: their distinct place is not a fixed coordinate but the Lamb’s own location, shared continuously.
Hogan’s forward bridge is significant: the distinct-place doctrine is one Jesus “comes back to many, many times from here to the 36 volumes.” This entry is the first comprehensive statement; the higher volumes will elaborate. The immersion in the “sea of contentments” — Ephesians 3:19’s fullness of God — is the positive content of the vessel emptied of its own will: what was evacuated by DW fidelity is now filled by the divine fullness indefinitely.
Summary
The governing biblical traditions: Pauline three-acts architecture (Colossians 1:15–20; Romans 11:36; Ephesians 1:3–6) for the TGF-1 approach; Apocalyptic (Revelation 21:23; 4:2–4; 14:4) for the eschatological structural frame; Johannine High-Priestly Prayer (John 17:21–24) for the seeing-from-within ground; Song of Songs (6:8–9) and NGP-1 wisdom tradition (Wisdom 7:26; Malachi 4:2) for the queens-and-Sun registers. TGF-1 advances to its nearest diary-text approach; NGP-1 reaches eschatological consummation; SUW-1 reaches its heavenly realization; AJD-1 reaches its eschatological completion (“completely transformed in Me”).
