04-1903-01-10 Biblical Resonance Analysis

Volume 4 — January 10, 1903 “The most pleasing and consoling words for the sweet Mama: ‘Dominus Tecum’.”

Stage One — Independent Biblical Identification

The Queen Mother Giving the Baby: The Bridal-Maternal Exchange

“The Queen Mother came with the Baby in Her arms, and She gave Him to me, telling me to keep Him courted with continuous acts of love.”

Song of Songs 3:4 — “I had scarcely passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother’s house, into the room of her who conceived me.” The bridal reception and holding of the beloved; the “keep him courted with continuous acts of love” is this bridal-possessive love directed to the infant Christ — the mystical bride receiving and holding what the Song’s bride searches for. Affective / meditative

Luke 2:28 (paraphrase) — Simeon taking the infant Jesus in his arms: “he took him up in his arms and blessed God.” The reception of the incarnate Word as an act of love; Luisa receiving the Baby from Mary’s arms is this gesture in its mystical extension — the Word given into creaturely arms to be kept and courted. Typological

”Dominus Tecum” — The Most Consoling Words for Mary

“The most pleasing and most consoling words for my Mother are: ‘Dominus Tecum’ [‘The Lord is with Thee’].”

Luke 1:28 — “Having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, you highly favored one! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women!” (chaire, kecharitōmenē, ho Kyrios meta sou). The Annunciation greeting from which “Dominus Tecum” is drawn. Jesus’s identification of this phrase specifically — rather than the fullness-of-grace — as the most consoling is doctrinally significant: the presence of the Lord is named as the supreme consolation above even the statement of Mary’s graced condition. Direct doctrinal parallel

Isaiah 7:14 — “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Immanuel = “God with us” — the prophetic form of the Annunciation’s “the Lord is with you.” The most consoling words are the Immanuel-word: the Lord’s presence with the creature as the supreme gift. Typological

Judges 6:12 — “The LORD’s angel appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!” The divine-presence greeting in its OT commission-form; the Annunciation’s “the Lord is with you” fulfills this same commission-structure at its highest possible level, with the overshadowing that produces the Son replacing the merely emboldening divine presence of the Gideon commissioning. Typological

”The Whole of the Divine Being Being Communicated to Her”: The Annunciation as Divine Self-Gift

“She felt the whole of the Divine Being being communicated to Her, and therefore She felt invested with divine Power, in such a way that, in the face of the divine Power, Her own dissolved; and so my Mother remained with the divine Power in Her hands.”

Luke 1:35 — “The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.” The divine Power coming upon and overshadowing Mary — the episkiasei is the divine Power enveloping and displacing; January 10 gives this its experiential interior form: “in the face of the divine Power, Her own dissolved.” The overshadowing is the exterior event; the dissolution of Mary’s own power is the interior consequence. Direct doctrinal parallel

Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.” The dissolution of the creaturely power before the indwelling divine is the Galatians form; Mary’s “own dissolved” in the face of the divine Power is the Annunciation’s enactment of the same principle. January 7 identified the same dynamic in Luisa (“you disappear completely, and I alone… reproduce”) — the Marian paradigm precedes and grounds the Luisian. Direct doctrinal parallel

2 Peter 1:4 — “by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.” The communication of the whole Divine Being to Mary is theosis in its most complete creaturely instance — not a partial sharing but the whole Divine Being communicated, received as divine Power in the creaturely hands. Direct doctrinal parallel

Isaiah 40:29–31 (translation pending) — “He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength… they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary.” The divine Power invested in the creature when the creature’s own capacity is dissolved; Mary’s “own dissolved” is the condition for the full reception of the divine Power — the faint receiving the divine strength at the precise point of their own nothingness. Direct doctrinal parallel

Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The divine Power replacing the creaturely at its fullest form: not supplementing but, at the Annunciation, substituting — “Her own dissolved.” Mary remains with the divine Power in Her hands because her own has been entirely displaced. Direct doctrinal parallel

Exodus 34:29 (paraphrase) — Moses descending Sinai with the divine radiance on his face, “not knowing that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.” The creaturely transformed by sustained encounter with the divine Presence; the Annunciation is the supreme instance of this — Mary’s entire creaturely power dissolved and replaced by the divine at the first words of the angelic greeting. Typological

Stage Two — Comparison with Hogan’s Commentary

CORRESPONDENCES

Luke 1:28 is the assumed foundational context for both streams. Hogan’s 1 Corinthians 2:10–16 is cited as a transitional bridge from January 9 rather than a direct citation for January 10 content.

DEVIATIONS

Hogan’s commentary on January 10 is minimal — she reads the entry and registers the doctrinal weight (“Wow”) without scriptural development. All citations in Stage One are the independent identification; none are confirmed by Hogan for this specific entry.

ADDITIONS — MINE

  • Luke 1:28 — Dominus Tecum as the Annunciation’s specific phrase; the Lord’s presence as the supreme consolation
  • Isaiah 7:14 — Immanuel as the prophetic form of the God-with-you word
  • Judges 6:12 — the divine-presence greeting in commission-form; the OT structural type
  • Luke 1:35 — the Holy Spirit coming upon and the power of the Most High overshadowing; the Annunciation’s power-event
  • Galatians 2:20 — no longer I who live; the Marian dissolution of the creaturely before the divine
  • 2 Peter 1:4 — partakers of the divine nature; the whole Divine Being communicated as theosis
  • Isaiah 40:29–31 — power given to the faint; the divine strength received at the creaturely dissolution
  • Philippians 4:13 — I can do all things through him who strengthens me; divine Power replacing the creaturely
  • Exodus 34:29 — Moses’s face shining; the creaturely transformed by divine Presence
  • Song of Songs 3:4 — the bridal holding; the courting with continuous acts of love
  • Luke 2:28 — Simeon receiving the infant; the reception of the incarnate Word in arms

ADDITIONS — HERS

Hogan’s transitional 1 Corinthians 2:10–16 (“spiritual people understand things the unspiritual don’t”) bridges from January 9’s faith-as-light into January 10, with the implicit point that Mary at the Annunciation is the supreme instance of the spiritually receptive — she receives what no unilluminated intellect could receive or comprehend.

VIP / SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS

No VIP designation. Hogan’s “Wow” registers the doctrinal weight without formal elevation.

STAGE TWO SYNTHESIS

January 10 is a brief but theologically significant entry delivering the doctrinal disclosure of the Annunciation’s interior effect on Mary. The dominant traditions are the Annunciation tradition (Luke 1:28; Luke 1:35) and the theosis / divine-power-replacing-creaturely complex (Galatians 2:20; 2 Peter 1:4; Philippians 4:13). The entry advances DW-MARY-1 by providing its Annunciation-based doctrinal ground: the “divine Power in Her hands” is the precise historical moment and mechanism by which Mary became the one identified with the divine will and operating from within it. The NSP-1 / Marian form — “Her own dissolved in the face of the divine Power” — is the Annunciation-level enactment of what NSP-1 traces as the formation arc for all souls.

Cross-Entry Synthesis

Volume 4 — January 10, 1903 “The most pleasing and consoling words for the sweet Mama: ‘Dominus Tecum’.”

The Bridal-Maternal Exchange

The entry opens in the register of mystical intimacy rather than doctrinal instruction. Mary comes with the infant Jesus in her arms and gives him to Luisa to be courted with continuous acts of love. Song of Songs 3:4 (the bride holding and refusing to release the beloved) and Luke 2:28 (Simeon receiving the infant into his arms) together frame the gesture: it is simultaneously the bridal reception of the beloved and the Simeon-like reception of the incarnate Word. The entry then pivots to a single doctrinal teaching delivered by Jesus while Luisa holds him — the intimacy of the infant-holding becomes the occasion of the theological disclosure.

”Dominus Tecum”: The Lord’s Presence as the Supreme Consolation

“The most pleasing and most consoling words for my Mother are: ‘Dominus Tecum.‘” The specificity is noteworthy: Jesus does not identify the kecharitōmenē (full of grace) as the most consoling phrase, though that word gives Mary her unique theological status. It is the Lord-is-with-you — the divine presence itself — that is named as the supreme consolation. The kecharitōmenē describes what Mary has received and is; the ho Kyrios meta sou describes what has arrived and now dwells with her. The presence is more consoling than the grace-status because the grace-status is the condition of the arrival, and the arrival is what gives the condition its meaning.

Stage One provides the prophetic background: Isaiah 7:14 (Immanuel — God with us — as the prophetic form of the Annunciation word) and Judges 6:12 (the Lord-is-with-you in its OT commission-structure). Together these establish the Annunciation’s greeting as the fulfillment of a long OT tradition of divine-presence commissioning — but now fulfilled at its highest possible register: not merely emboldening a warrior or commissioning a prophet but communicating the whole Divine Being to the creaturely recipient.

”The Whole of the Divine Being Being Communicated to Her”

The entry’s doctrinal summit is its account of what “Dominus Tecum” effected in Mary: “She felt the whole of the Divine Being being communicated to Her, and therefore She felt invested with divine Power, in such a way that, in the face of the divine Power, Her own dissolved; and so my Mother remained with the divine Power in Her hands.”

Hogan does not develop this scripturally — only “Wow.” Stage One provides the doctrinal complex. The mechanism is precisely described in three stages: (1) the whole Divine Being communicated — not a partial gift but the entire divine self-giving; (2) Mary invested with divine Power; (3) Mary’s own power dissolved in the face of the divine Power, leaving her with the divine Power in her hands.

Luke 1:35 is the Annunciation’s own description of this event from the outside — “the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” The episkiasei (overshadowing) is the external event; January 10 gives it its interior phenomenology: what Mary experienced from within the overshadowing was the communication of the whole Divine Being, the dissolution of her own power, and the reception of the divine Power into her hands.

The parallel with January 7’s “you disappear completely, and I alone, not mystically, but in living flesh, reproduce…” is precise and intentional. The Marian Annunciation is the paradigm that the victim soul’s state replicates: the creature’s own capacity dissolving before the divine Power is the Marian form of what NSP-1 traces as the formation arc for all souls. Galatians 2:20 (“it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me”) is the Pauline form of both — the creaturely dissolved before the divine. Mary at the Annunciation is the original and supreme instance.

2 Peter 1:4 (partakers of the divine nature) names the doctrinal category: the communication of the whole Divine Being to the creaturely recipient is theosis in its most complete creaturely instance. Philippians 4:13 (I can do all things through him who strengthens me) names the operative consequence: the creaturely power replaced by divine Power can do what creaturely power alone cannot. Isaiah 40:29–31 provides the prophetic form: the faint receiving divine strength at the point of their own nothingness — “Her own dissolved” is the condition, not the obstacle.

DW-MARY-1 and NSP-1: The Annunciation as Doctrinal Ground

The January 10 teaching provides DW-MARY-1 with its most precise Annunciation-based doctrinal ground. DW-MARY-1 was opened in September 1900 when Mary used “Our Justice” rather than “His Justice,” speaking as one identified with the divine will rather than petitioning from outside it. The question the entry answers is: when and how did Mary come to operate from within the divine will with “divine Power in Her hands”? The answer is: at the Annunciation, when the divine Power was communicated to her completely and her own dissolved.

The NSP-1 / Marian parallel is equally significant. NSP-1’s entire formation arc — the creature progressively emptied of its own capacities until the divine operates freely within the nothingness — finds its paradigmatic single instance at the Annunciation. “Her own dissolved in the face of the divine Power” is NSP-1’s logic at its most concentrated and its most Marian: the nothingness not gradually cultivated but immediately produced by the divine communication itself.

Synthesis

The entry’s brevity belies its doctrinal weight. The dominant tradition is the Annunciation (Luke 1:28; 1:35; Isaiah 7:14) integrated with the theosis complex (2 Peter 1:4; Galatians 2:20; Philippians 4:13) to give the Annunciation its full doctrinal form. The single most significant finding is the three-stage mechanism of the “Dominus Tecum” effect: whole Divine Being communicated → Mary invested with divine Power → her own dissolved → divine Power in her hands. This is simultaneously DW-MARY-1’s Annunciation-ground, NSP-1’s Marian paradigm, and the doctrinal precedent for January 7’s “you disappear completely, and I alone reproduce.” The Annunciation is the original and supreme instance of what the victim soul’s transparent state enacts.

04-1903-01-10

DW-MARY-1 — Annunciation-based doctrinal ground: “divine Power in Her hands”: “As soon as they were pronounced by the Archangel, She felt the whole of the Divine Being being communicated to Her, and therefore She felt invested with divine Power, in such a way that, in the face of the divine Power, Her own dissolved; and so my Mother remained with the divine Power in Her hands.” January 10 provides DW-MARY-1 with its most precise Annunciation-based doctrinal ground: the three-stage mechanism is explicit — (1) whole Divine Being communicated, (2) Mary’s own power dissolved, (3) divine Power remaining in her hands. Luke 1:35 (episkiasei) is the Annunciation’s external description; Galatians 2:20 (creaturely dissolved before the divine) and 2 Peter 1:4 (partakers of the divine nature) are the doctrinal forms. The Marian Annunciation is simultaneously the paradigm for NSP-1 (creaturely nothingness as the condition of divine fullness) and the precedent for January 7’s “you disappear completely, and I alone reproduce.”
