STAGE ONE — INDEPENDENT BIBLICAL IDENTIFICATION
The Fire in Italy and China: Fascism and Communism Uniting
“I could see that a fire was flaring up in Italy, and another one had flared up in China, and little by little, uniting together, they were blending into one… the king of Italy who had suddenly died by a trick, and this was the means to ignite and expand the fire… a revolt, a tumult, a killing of people.”
Amos 3:7 / Isaiah 64:10 (paraphrase) — Hogan cites both explicitly. The prophetic disclosure of the Italian fire (fascism) and the Chinese fire (Marxist communism) uniting is the Amos 3:7 pattern at its most politically specific: the divine discloses the coming political catastrophe to the prophetic interlocutor before it arrives. Hogan identifies the two fires: Italian fascism and Chinese Marxist communism, which historically converged in the Axis alignment of World War II. Type: direct doctrinal parallel
Jeremiah 4:6–7 — “Set up a standard toward Zion. Flee for safety! Don’t wait; for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.” A lion has gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations. He is on his way. He has gone out from his place, to make your land desolate, that your cities be laid waste, without inhabitant.” The destroyer setting out, the disaster from the north — the fire spreading and uniting — is the Jeremiah form of the political conflagration the vision discloses. The “revolt, tumult, killing of people” is the Jeremiah national-catastrophe form. Type: typological
Daniel 11:6–7 — “At the end of years they will join themselves together. The daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make an agreement, but she will not retain the strength of her arm. He will also not stand, nor will his arm; but she will be given up, with those who brought her and he who became her father, and he who strengthened her in those times. “But out of a shoot from her roots one will stand up in his place who will come to the army and will enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and will deal against them and will prevail.” The political alliance that produces catastrophe — the two fires uniting — is the Daniel 11 form of the converging powers whose union produces destruction rather than stability. Type: typological
The Sword of Justice: Taking Hold and Holding Fast
“He made Himself seen with a sword in His hand, in the act of throwing it over the people. All frightened, and made a little daring, I took the sword in my hand… ‘I cannot let it go, I do not have the heart to do it.‘”
Revelation 6:4 — “Another came out, a red horse. To him who sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. There was given to him a great sword.” Hogan cites explicitly. The great sword given to the rider — the divine permission for war and slaughter — is the Revelation 6:4 form of the sword the divine holds in the July 30 vision. Jesus holding the sword in the act of throwing it over the people is the Revelation rider preparing to take peace from the earth. Type: typological
Revelation 19:15 — “Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.” Hogan cites this alongside Revelation 6:4 and 13:10. The sword from the mouth of the divine warrior — the instrument of the nations’ striking-down — is the Revelation form of the July 30 sword. Christ as divine warrior with the sword is the Revelation 19:15 image applied to the moment before Luisa intercepts it. Type: typological
Revelation 13:10 — “If anyone is to go into captivity, he will go into captivity. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, he must be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.” Hogan cites this as part of the sword-complex. The sword-slaying as the form of divine judgment — and the call for endurance and faith in response — is the Revelation 13 form of the July 30 sword’s threatened deployment. Type: typological
Genesis 18:22–32 (paraphrase) — The Abraham-intercession dynamic — Hogan cites explicitly as the model for Luisa’s escalating daring — is the structural archetype for the victim soul seizing the sword. Abraham pressed the divine from fifty to ten; Luisa seizes the sword itself. The escalating daring of Genesis 18 is the model Hogan invokes: “she gets bolder and bolder — more courageous.” Type: typological
Psalm 7:12–13 — “If a man doesn’t repent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow. He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.” The divine preparing the sword for deployment against the unrepentant is the Psalm 7 form of the July 30 sword-in-hand: the weapon prepared against persistent transgression. Luisa intercepting the sword is the intercessory counter to the Psalm 7 readied weapon. Type: direct doctrinal parallel
Romans 8:29 (paraphrase) — Hogan cites for “your images.” The people threatened by the sword are the creatures predestined to bear the image of the Son — the divine punishing His own image is the Romans 8:29 form of the interior anguish at striking the images. Type: direct doctrinal parallel
Ezekiel 21:3–5 — “of Israel, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I am against you, and will draw my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked. … All flesh will know that I, the LORD, have drawn my sword out of its sheath. It will not return any more.”’” The divine drawing the sword — “it shall not be sheathed again” — is the Ezekiel form of the sword the victim soul must prevent from being thrown. The “shall not be sheathed again” is the threat that Luisa is working against by holding the sword as tightly as she can. Type: typological
”I Am Forced Not to Let You See Anything — Otherwise I Am Not Free”
“Have I not told you many times that I am forced not to let you see anything, otherwise I am not free to do what I want?”
Matthew 11:12 (paraphrase) — Already confirmed across the volume. The divine’s acknowledgment that Luisa’s seeing forces His hand is the Matthew 11:12 violence from the opposite direction: normally Luisa uses the intercession to force the divine to act mercifully; here the divine is noting that her presence and seeing constrains His freedom to execute Justice. The victim soul’s presence is itself the binding of the divine’s hand. Type: direct doctrinal parallel
Hosea 11:8–9 (paraphrase) — Already confirmed across the volume. “My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender. I will not execute my burning anger.” The divine’s lowering of the arm and “placing Himself in the act of calming His fury” is the Hosea 11:8–9 compassion reasserting itself. The sword lowered is the burning anger not executed; the fury calmed is the heart’s recoiling given its operative form. Type: direct doctrinal parallel
Psalm 106:23 (paraphrase) — Already confirmed across the volume. “Had not Moses stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them.” Luisa seizing the sword is the most physically concrete form of standing in the breach in the volume: not interceding with words but physically grasping the instrument of destruction and refusing to release it. The breach-standing has become sword-seizing. Type: direct doctrinal parallel
STAGE TWO — COMPARISON WITH HOGAN’S COMMENTARY
CORRESPONDENCES
Amos 3:7 / Isaiah 64:10 — Both confirmed for the prophetic-disclosure frame.
Revelation 6:4 / 13:10 / 19:15 — Both identified. Hogan cites explicitly.
Romans 8:29 — Both confirmed for “your images.”
Genesis 18 (Abraham-intercession) — Both confirmed. Hogan cites explicitly.
The Italy-fire as fascism / China-fire as Marxist communism — Both analyses confirm Hogan’s historical identification.
The sword lowered / fury calmed — Both analyses confirm.
“I am not free to do what I want” — the victim soul’s presence constraining the divine — Both analyses confirm.
DEVIATIONS
No significant deviations.
ADDITIONS — MINE
- Jeremiah 4:6–7 — the destroyer of nations setting out; the fire from the north as political catastrophe
- Daniel 11:6–7 — the political alliance producing catastrophe; the two fires uniting
- Psalm 7:12–13 — “God will whet his sword”; the weapon prepared against the unrepentant
- Ezekiel 21:3–5 — “I have drawn my sword from its sheath; it shall not be sheathed again”; the Ezekiel form of the sword’s imminence
- Hosea 11:8–9 — the compassion reasserting itself in the lowered sword
- Psalm 106:23 — standing in the breach; the sword-seizing as breach-standing at its most physical
- Matthew 11:12 — the divine’s freedom constrained by the victim soul’s presence
ADDITIONS — HERS
The king of Italy’s assassination identified (Hogan): The king who “died by a trick” is identified as the means for Mussolini’s fascist takeover. The assassination enabled the political vacuum that fascism filled. Hogan: “for Mussolini to take over Italy they got rid of the king of Italy.”
The 1914 dating confirmed: Hogan notes that the sword lowered meant “the war was going to be 1914 to 1918, not now.” Luisa’s sword-seizing delayed the sword’s deployment from 1900 to 1914 — a 14-year delay in the war’s outbreak. The extraordinary power of the victim soul’s intercession is given its most historically precise Volume 3 form.
“She kept it — she’s a brave little lady”: Hogan’s closing pastoral assessment — the sword held and not released, the fear afterward that the divine might pull it away unseen. The brave holding-on despite the fear is the victim soul’s vocation in its most concentrated physical form.
VIP / SPECIAL DESIGNATIONS
No formal VIP designation. The sword-seizing and the “I am not free to do what I want” are the entry’s most theologically concentrated moments.
STAGE TWO SYNTHESIS
Three movements: the fire-vision (Amos 3:7, Jeremiah 4:6–7, Daniel 11); the sword-seizing intercession (Revelation 6:4/13:10/19:15, Genesis 18, Psalm 7:12–13, Ezekiel 21:3–5, Psalm 106:23); and the divine’s acknowledgment and calming (Matthew 11:12, Hosea 11:8–9). Both analyses converge on Amos 3:7, Revelation 6:4/13:10/19:15, Genesis 18, and Romans 8:29. Stage One’s most significant additions are Jeremiah 4:6–7, Daniel 11, Psalm 7:12–13, Ezekiel 21:3–5, Hosea 11:8–9, Psalm 106:23, and Matthew 11:12. Hogan’s most significant additions are the historical identifications (king of Italy, fascism, Marxist communism) and the 1914 dating of the delayed war.
Cross-Entry Synthesis
Volume 3 — July 30, 1900 “Luisa stops the sword of Justice.”
CROSS-ENTRY SYNTHESIS
The Fire in Italy and China: Prophetic Vision of Fascism and Communism
“I could see that a fire was flaring up in Italy, and another one had flared up in China, and little by little, uniting together, they were blending into one… the king of Italy who had suddenly died by a trick… a revolt, a tumult, a killing of people.”
Amos 3:7 and Isaiah 64:10 — the volume’s prophetic-disclosure frame — govern the entry’s opening vision. Hogan’s historical identification gives the July 30 vision its most politically specific content in the volume: the Italian fire is fascism (its preconditions set in motion by the king’s assassination clearing the path for Mussolini), the Chinese fire is Marxist communism, and their blending into one is the historical convergence of the Axis powers in World War II. Luisa sees in 1900 what will unfold across 1914–1945.
Jeremiah 4:6–7 — “the destroyer of nations has set out” — gives the political fire its prophetic form. Daniel 11:6–7 — the alliance that produces catastrophe rather than stability — gives the two-fires-uniting their historical-structural form: the political alignment of ideological forces that converges against the Church and the peoples. The “revolt, tumult, killing of people” is the consequence of the political fire expanding and finding new fuel in the joined ideologies.
The July 25 / July 27 / July 30 prophetic sequence is the volume’s most complete consecutive prophetic disclosure: July 25 named the specific instruments of World War II (concentration camps, atomic bombs); July 27 named the ecclesial attack (false religious removing masks); July 30 names the political fires whose convergence enables both. Together the three entries give the volume’s fullest prophetic panorama of the 20th century’s catastrophic arc.
Seizing the Sword: Breach-Standing at Its Most Physical
“I took the sword in my hand, telling Him: ‘Lord, what are You doing?… I held on to that sword as tightly as I could.’ And He: ‘My daughter, let it go — let it fall upon the people, for I can take no more.’ And I, holding it more tightly: ‘I cannot let it go, I do not have the heart to do it.‘”
Psalm 106:23 — “had not Moses stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them” — reaches its most physically concrete Volume 3 form. Every prior intercessory entry has been breach-standing through petition (June 6), through the appeal to obedience (June 12), through the ecclesially mediated crucifixion (July 2), through the sword-force of importunate prayer. July 30 is the literal breach-standing: Luisa seizes the sword, holds it as tightly as she can, and refuses to release it when the divine asks. The breach has become the hand on the sword.
Revelation 6:4 — the rider given the great sword to take peace from the earth — and Revelation 19:15 — the sword from the divine warrior’s mouth to strike down the nations — are the eschatological forms of the sword the victim soul intercepts. The July 30 sword-seizing is the intercessory intervention at the moment before the Revelation judgment’s deployment. Ezekiel 21:3–5 — “I have drawn my sword from its sheath; it shall not be sheathed again” — names the threat Luisa is working against: the sword once thrown will not be recalled.
Genesis 18 — confirmed by both analyses as Hogan’s explicit model — gives the escalating daring its archetype: Abraham pressed from fifty righteous to ten, growing bolder with each concession. Luisa seizes the sword itself. The escalation from Abraham’s verbal negotiation to Luisa’s physical holding is the intercessory tradition’s most daring Volume 3 expression.
Hogan’s most historically significant contribution is the 1914 dating: “the war was going to be 1914 to 1918, not now — so notice the power that the victim souls have.” Luisa’s sword-seizing in 1900 delayed the war’s outbreak by 14 years. The intercessory mitigation across the volume has operated at this scale: the chastisements reduced (one-third, one-half), the storms routed, the fury temporarily broken — and now the sword of the first world war delayed by 14 years. The hidden chastisements principle of July 17 finds its most precisely dated historical form: the war that did not break in 1900 is the hidden chastisement the sword-seizing prevented.
”I Am Not Free to Do What I Want”: The Victim Soul’s Constraining Presence
“‘Have I not told you many times that I am forced not to let you see anything, otherwise I am not free to do what I want?’ And while saying this, He lowered His arm with the sword, and placed Himself in the act of calming His fury.”
Matthew 11:12 — confirmed across the volume — reaches its most explicit Volume 3 statement: the victim soul’s presence itself constrains the divine’s freedom to execute Justice. The kingdom suffers violence from the victim soul who seizes the sword; the divine cannot throw the sword while the one He loves holds it. The “I am not free” is the Matthew 11:12 binding: the love that constitutes the relationship is what binds the Justice.
Hosea 11:8–9 — the compassion that reasserts itself against the burning anger — is the mechanism of the lowered arm: “I will not execute my burning anger; my heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender.” The sword lowered is the Hosea 11:8 recoiling given its operative form. The fury calmed is the compassion taking the position that the burning anger was about to occupy.
The divine’s “I am forced not to let you see anything, otherwise I am not free” is the entry’s most theologically original statement and the retrospective key to the entire May–July chastisement sequence. The privation-arc — the sleep-state, the obscured clarity, the non-coming — is here explained from the divine’s side: the victim soul’s seeing forces the divine’s hand. The privations are not only the formation of the victim soul; they are the divine’s preservation of His own freedom to execute the chastisements that the mission requires. The mercy-sleep of June 24, the self-protective withdrawal of June 20, the “I abstain from coming so as not to expose my Heart to a fiercer fight” of June 20 — all are forms of the same principle stated here in its most explicit form.
Synthesis Conclusion
Dominant biblical imagination: Amos 3:7 (prophetic disclosure at its most politically specific), Revelation 6:4 / 19:15 (the sword of divine judgment intercepted), Psalm 106:23 (breach-standing become sword-seizing), Matthew 11:12 (the victim soul’s presence binding the divine’s freedom), Hosea 11:8–9 (the compassion reasserting itself in the lowered sword).
Most load-bearing scriptural traditions: The prophetic-disclosure tradition (Amos 3:7, Jeremiah 4:6–7) for the political-fire vision; the Revelation sword-complex (6:4, 13:10, 19:15, Ezekiel 21:3–5) for the sword’s identity; Genesis 18 and Psalm 106:23 for the escalating intercessory boldness; Matthew 11:12 and Hosea 11:8–9 for the divine’s constrained-and-calmed response.
Most theologically significant findings:
First, the 14-year war-delay is the most historically precise form of the hidden-chastisements principle (July 17) in the volume. Luisa’s sword-seizing in 1900 delayed the outbreak of World War I to 1914. The intercessory economy’s scale is now confirmed: the victim soul’s intercession operates not only at the level of storms and hurricanes (June 6, July 2) but at the level of world-historical catastrophes and their timing.
Second, “I am not free to do what I want” is the retrospective key to the entire privation-arc. The divine’s freedom to execute the chastisements the mission requires is constrained by the victim soul’s presence and seeing. The privations — the sleep, the obscured clarity, the non-coming — are the divine’s preservation of His own operative freedom. The mercy-sleep and the self-protective withdrawal are not failures of love but the divine’s necessary condition for carrying out the Justice that Love is too constrained to execute in the victim soul’s presence.
Third, the breach-standing has become sword-seizing — the most physically daring intercessory act in the volume. Luisa does not petition, negotiate, or press with love; she seizes the instrument of destruction and holds it. The escalation from Abraham’s verbal negotiation (Genesis 18) through Moses’s standing (Psalm 106:23) to Luisa’s sword-seizing is the intercessory tradition’s most daring Volume 3 expression. “She’s a brave little lady” — Hogan’s closing assessment is precise.
OBSERVATION NOTE
14-year war-delay — most historically precise intercessory efficacy in Volume 3: Luisa’s sword-seizing in 1900 delayed the outbreak of World War I to 1914. The hidden-chastisements principle (July 17) finds its most precisely dated historical form: the war that did not break in 1900 is the hidden chastisement the sword-seizing prevented. Hogan confirms the dating explicitly.
“I am not free to do what I want” — retrospective key to the entire privation-arc: The victim soul’s presence and seeing constrain the divine’s freedom to execute Justice. The privations (sleep, obscured clarity, non-coming) are the divine’s preservation of His own operative freedom. Matthew 11:12 is the governing doctrinal form.
Breach-standing become sword-seizing — intercessory tradition’s most daring Volume 3 expression: From verbal petition (June 6) through appeal to obedience (June 12) through ecclesially mediated crucifixion (July 2) to physical sword-seizure (July 30). The escalation confirms the Genesis 18 pattern: the intercessory boldness increases with each concession.
July 25 / July 27 / July 30 consecutive prophetic trilogy: The volume’s most complete prophetic panorama: specific instruments of World War II (July 25) → ecclesial false-religious attack (July 27) → political fires of fascism and communism uniting (July 30). Together they give the 20th century’s catastrophic arc its Volume 3 prophetic disclosure.
